With any situation dealing with family law requires patience. You have to trust the process swallow your words and not react to chaos. Barb is very knowledgeable in family law you will see results over time. If you quit on the process, you are quitting on the result.

I was guided to Barb from a member of my family. I would highly recommend Miller Legal for your legal needs. I made my appt and met with Barb and discussed the case that was laid at my feet by the county. Long story short, I found out the hard way that you cannot get into a loud verbal argument with your children in Wisconsin. at least not with the possibility of being charged with DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT. after barb reviewed my files and case, she assured me that she firmly believed that i would walk away with at most a small fine. turns out she was a little off, the county dropped the charges all together!!!! Worst lawyer quit day before trial

I was looking at a felony charge for a traffic incident and knew I needed a professional. Barb drove 90 minutes one way to go with me to court and as we walked down the hall it seemed like everyone there knew her! She was able to get the DA to agree to a couple citations (one of them with NO points on my license!). I recently moved out of state with my child. I was sure I could move as I checked into it before I physically moved. However, for really the first time in about ten years his father finally seemed interested in visitation. He served me ten business days before the scheduled court date, so I needed help. I contacted Barb and she gave me a consult for free. Barb told validated what the clerk of court said, that if I did not show up for the hearing, the decision could default in his favor and I would need to move back. I was previously represented by an incompetent attorney, dismissed him and hired the services of Miller Legal Services for my family case. The differences were incalculable! Ms Miller did an extraordinary job completing my marriage dissolution. She explained in very simple terms what would happen when you end a 30 year marriage; asset separation, spousal support & premarital assets. The process of filing the necessary documents was completed - even while I struggled, really had some moments with personal property. Everything I wanted was at list price and everything on the other side was auction priced or free. Ms Miller was very successful in negotiating items that had sentimental as well as asset value and were premarital property. Ms Miller was very concise and professional handling the opposing attorney. Conferences were helded to a minimum. I was told, again in simple terms, what was going to happen at each step. The final conferences were polite and respectful. The completion of the marriage dissolution although relatively expensive (equalization of assets) was done with fairness to both parties.
