This firm came highly recommended by numerous colleagues. They did not disappoint. My homework list from her was long and very detailed. And she was very pleased that I quickly delivered everything she needed. The result was more than I expected. She was comprehensive about follow-through and follow-up; such things as recorded satisfactions after debt was forgiven. She did additional research, and wrote a few letters as well to clear everything. A huge relief. She is very competent. I hope this city and our nation will eventually recover from our loss of GM and the 2008 mortgage-derivatives crash, robo-foreclosures, and banker bail-oust.

she didnt even know what was going on in court. she told me one thing left court and I got a call from a family member saying the court was trying to take my daughter from me and place her with the other parent. so I called Margery and she acted as if she had no clue and wouldn't do anything about it then sent me a bill for things she never did.

We thought she would work hard for us in our quest for reasonable visitation but when the opposing attorney started to protest, Ms Wakefield did nothing and she closed the case and sent a bill. If you just need an attorney for paperwork, she is okay but she won’t fight for her clients.

I feel so strongly about this. Just praying the public will read my words and take heed. This was most horrific experience of my life, 15 months in process. There was no trial brief filed, at least 75 unanswered phone calls, all documented, so many requests for discovery( ex was self employed) so many Xs requested deposition, excuses found to be lies, no trial brief, nor final financial disclosure ever filed. She even had complaints to the court from the petitioners' attorney regarding her unresponsiveness and failure to complete required documents. Her familial, social and civic activities were obviously her priorities. She should never have been allowed the luxury of being unaccountable. Her performance is an insult to her profession. I am 65, wasted 15 months with no family, experiencing severe depression and spending thousands of dollars I didnt have. Finally, I inadvertently discovered a thread on her e mails, confirming what I had suspected all along. A wonderful kudos to my sister, my pain management group and especially my counselor, for their patience in allowing me to vent. (I had no control and soon became a broken record. I finally decided to retain another attorney, whom she told me initially during the process of finding an attorney, was known to be denigrating and disrespectful to women in the courtroom. (completely untrue). I became divorced.. 3 months from beginning to end. Unfortunately, I have heard this has happened to many other people in the community. I will Do whatever I can to prevent this from ever occurring again! Please don't ever retain her services, you will be so regretful!
