I hired Jennifer a few years ago for criminal charges that I had. I was facing two or three felony charges. The first court date with the judge seemed promising. My next few court dates did not go so well. She said she needs to go off what the police report said and did not think she could help me and told me to settle for a plea bargain there was not one piece of truth to that police report at all, I definitely was not going to settle for a plea bargain. When I knew I was innocent she told me that’s all she could do for me. She not once asked me for my side of the story I was not going to admit to something I did not do thank God I hired another lawyer , the new lawyer actually took time to listen to what had happened and had private investigators help prove my innocence. All my charges were dropped. Please do not waste your time or money on Jennifer. Please go to the lawyers in West Salem Wisconsin. They are amazing they take time to listen to you and fight to help prove your innocence. It is well worth your time and money.

I was very pleased to have Jennifer represent me on a local dispute. Jennifer was very thorough, strong, and brought up details I didn't expect any attorney to push back on. Highly recommend her to represent you!!

I have past domestic misdemeanor convictions that I worked with two other attorneys on. Some things I did and some things I didn't but in one way or another all charges are visible to anyone who wants to see them. The two other attorneys I worked with in the past did little to help me that I could not have done for myself but I thought that was just how having an attorney was supposed to go. Expensive and pointless pretty much. I have spent the past several years trying to better myself with no further instances of legal trouble when out of nowhere I was facing a first time felony charge of a financial nature. I made the mistake of speaking with a police officer without having an attorney present thinking everything was fine because I did not do anything wrong. I had no idea the officer would charge me with anything and I never saw it coming. That was my first mistake. My second mistake was going to an attorney that came recommended actually and hearing him tell me that I would be charged with the felony and then we would make our case to try and fight it. I wanted very badly for him to try and talk with the District Attorney prior to me being formally charged to see if the case could be dropped so it would not show on my record at all but he said it was best to not bother the DA because they were busy with a home invasion case. He said there was no point. He said it would not work. He said it would only make things worse. He was right. I fired him. I called up another attorney that helped a friend of mine and who I knew was amazing but worked in a different scope of law and he immediately referred me to Jennifer Lough. He said she was the best, and he was right. She sat down with me and listened to me. She knew what questions to ask and gathered up all the information necessary to approach the DA. Her intent was purely and simply to do what I had hoped and to have the case dropped before I was even formally charged with the crime. She did what I could never have done on my own. She went above and beyond to present the information that spoke to my innocence. There was nothing easy about what she did. This was no slam dunk misunderstanding with the police. I really felt and had reason to believe that my past convictions played a role in the officer's way of handling me and there was more. I called the police a few weeks prior because I nearly ran over two people in a very small car that failed to yield the right of way. The people after nearly hitting my car drove off but I had their plate. The same officer who was now charging me with a financial felony was the officer I talked to that day. That day he tried to tell me I was wrong. He said it was I who was supposed to yield to the other car even though their street came to an end and I was the oncoming traffic. I called his sergeant immediately that day who agreed I had the right of way and the officer called me back to apologize. Now, that same officer had an opportunity to charge with me with a financial related felony caused by a mistake with a check that was mailed to me by my employer. He even laughed about the traffic incident when he handed me the signature bond to my new felony situation. Jennifer knew how to approach this because she was a District Attorney for several years before becoming the best criminal defense attorney in La Crosse. She kept me informed the entire time. She is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin's version of Chicago, where tough people come from and she is a fighter. She waited in a courtroom for two hours just to catch the DA and speak to her about my case. I was never formally charged and the case was dropped. If I ever get a phone call from the police or find myself in front of a police officer asking me questions about ANYTHING, I WILL POLITELY DECLINE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS FROM THE POLICE WITHOUT MY ATTORNEY, JENNIFER LOUGH, PRESENT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP JENNIFER!

Facing a 3rd DUI conviction in county about 100 miles away, I was in desperate need of a lawyer. I first made contact with an arrogant Madison lawyer who was arrogant and this was off-putting.
From my first interaction with Jennifer, I could tell I wanted to hire her. I was a bit apprehensive at first, as she was young, a woman and had somewhat of a soft voice. However, the more I spoke with her the more she reassured me that she would do everything in her power to get me a fair result without over-promising and this apprehension quickly grew into confidence. At first, she wasn't in contact much and I was a bit worried, but as court grew nearer, she worked very diligently and I was pleasantly surprised at the options she had come up with.
She helped alleviate a lot of stress and offered excellent counsel in terms of what I should be doing to prepare for court, what she thought the D.A. would offer as far as a plea was concerned, and she explained with great detail and patience the charges I was facing and what my options were going to be. If I ever had a question, she never acted in a manner that made me feel uncomfortable to ask another or have it re-worded; she always made sure I knew exactly what was happening and to the best of her ability, what would happen.
In court, I can't say enough about her conduct and demeanor. Even though there was somewhat of a verbal agreement as to my plea, she stuck to her guns and still argued to get my sentence reduced in the end. Although somewhat soft-spoken, Jennifer's voice and demeanor exude confidence in the courtroom; she is very intelligent and well-spoken and very well put together as far as having everything organized and ready to go. It was obvious to me that in less than 30 minutes she was able to develop a good rapport with the judge as well as the district attourny. She is very kind, sweet and humble - twice apologizing for having essentially done her job in attempting to make an argument for less time on my sentence - and the judge acknowledged that.
Because of all this, Jennifer was able to get me the best plea deal possible and I was able to get placed on home-monitoring (huber), instead of possibly losing my job and spending quite a bit of time away from my family and friends.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone in legal trouble. She is a straight shooter and she's not going to feed you a line just to get hired. She came up with quite a few options and was very diligent and timely in her work with myself and other third parties involved into the work needed prior to my court appearance. Above all, I believe she loves what she does and puts everything into her job on a day-to-day basis, helping people in rough situations.

Jennifer was amazing in her ability to handle my divorce. My ex-husband was diagnosed with personality disorders and Jennifer was well educated about the effects this had on my children and on our strategy. She was organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. She is a kind, intelligent woman who has a fantastic "bedside manner" as well as an in depth knowledge of the law. It was such a relief to have her on my side!
I will definitely hire her again, if I ever need too!
