A friend referred me to Jessa Nicholson for a family law case because she had such great results with her case. During my initial consultation I spoke with the manager, James G., and was extremely impressed. He truly cared about my situation and wants to help. He is the gateway to the law firm and they are blessed to have someone with such compassion and empathy. Nathan Otis was absolutely amazing. My case was strange and he walked me through it every step of the way. He told me what I could expect, helped me figure out what I needed to do and was on top of it. Now it's over and I can put it behind me and honestly, I'll never forget it. Thank you for taking such an odd but relatively simple case and handling it with the same quality of service as your bigger cases. Without even going into details about the blatant mistakes that were made at sentencing and are on the record, the staff for Jessa are extremely unprofessional, rude, and not people you want to have to talk to. Even when a case is under active appeal years later and you are seeking important evidence, and have basic questions about what happened to the evidence that you personally handed to Jessa (it might be destroyed, it might not? Who knows? They don’t!), Jessa’s staff are unhelpful, unprofessional, and will even say offensive remarks when they feel personally offended (no class at all). Jessa’s staff member James was really kind and helpful when I emptied my life savings, but when I had very basic questions years later, he was a completely different person, a person I would never want to talk to, let alone pay to talk to. These people are in it for the money and their character will completely switch up when you’re no longer paying them. It’s fine to only care about the money, but is that who you really want representing you? Do you really want a law firm that employs staff that are rude and callous to former clients and their clients family members? Do you really want a law firm that has such a personal issue with answering even the most BASIC questions when a case they once had is under appeal? There are many great attorneys in this state, I would recommend going elsewhere, hire a lawyer who employs respectful staff whether you are a former or current client. Lastly, Jessa’s investigator is not great at all but that’s a story for another day.

I chose attorney Andrea Winder to represent me. Andrea was a brutal lioness in the courtroom. She was eloquently skillful and sharp! She won my case with ease. During my trial, at every turn, she was one step ahead of the competition. She was very easy to communicate with and always responded to me right away. She made me feel safe knowing that I had a someone who was fighting for me!

These people are clowns and completely unprofessional. You're better off hiring a squirrel!

I would recommend Nick or any one of the wonderful lawyers in the office. My experience with Nick was always very positive. I was so surprised when I met Nick. He was not your typical lawyer- many lawyers make me uncomfortable and have a way about them that is less than inviting. Nick lacked nothing in the way of professionalism. When he was with my husband and myself he always broke everything down in way that was easily understood. I could always get a hold of nick when I needed to. He was always available to us for any questions or needs we had. I would highly suggest that one checks these guys out before paying more for less. I thought the cost was very fair and that Nick went over and above what was expected of him. He is a lawyer that cares about his clients as people. He genuinely cares about the people he represents and it makes a huge difference. I am beyond thankful for Nicks hard work and dedication.

Vow, what can I say about the firm and especially Nate who has been a tremendous help during the toughest time of my life. My case was complicated and I was really in dire straits with no hope. Luckily, I contacted Nate Otis and that changed everything. He has been extremely patient while explaining the nuances of the case and possible outcomes. I felt that ‘we’ collectively designed the best case scenario and worked towards it. With his thorough grasp on criminal law, ready wit but still a humble personality - he navigated the course with me through ups and downs for more than an year. Never did I feel that I was left alone. Finally, I did achieve the desired outcome and can’t thank him enough for this.
