I purchased the Hyatt legal plan through my work so that my husband and I could create a will. Westmont Law showed up as the nearest firm covered under the plan so I called to schedule an appointment. When I talked to the receptionist I said that we had the Hyatt legal plan and would like to set up time to create a will. She scheduled an appointment for me a few weeks out. The day before the appointment she calls back and says they have a conflict and need to reschedule so we moved the appointment to the following week. When we show up for the appointment the receptionist says hi and then sends us to a conference room to fill out paper work. A few minutes later Westmont comes out. After introductions she asks why we are here and I explain. She abruptly says that she doesn't do Hyatt and that her name should be on the site. She then just gets up and leaves. I understand not wanting to accept the legal plan anymore but then she should work with them to get herself removed from their site. She also should train her receptionist to not accept appointments through the legal plan. Finally, she really could work on her friendliness and be a little less abrupt/abrasive.

I had a real bummer of an initial consultation with Ruth. She is very direct, and even raised her voice during our conversation. It was aggressive and uncomfortable. She did the dramatic take off the glasses move and everything. This skill is probably useful in the courtroom and may even be a byproduct of it, thus the second star - but it seemed unnecessary in this context. Take my word for it; If you found Ruth online you are probably not her target client. Move on.

Used for a personal family situation yrs back..she was really good!! Would refer again in a heartbeat. Ran into one situation a few yrs later after first initial time(medical) and she was right there to support and was interested to take on anything that may of needed to be dealt with! She presented compassion and wanted to be there.

Called to schedule a consultation, she refused to do a phone consultation, saying I would have to come in anyway to pay her retainer fee if I chose to hire her...The logic in this is beyond me. Further she continued to make horrible assumptions about my intentions and was continually rude to me through the whole phone call and had the audacity at the end to ask me if I would like to schedule an in office consultation. Her way of conducting businesses is not conducive to making clients feel safe or heard. Calling this law firm is a waste of your time.

Ruth Westmont is a well experienced lawyer and able to identify the insights of the legal aspects and able to get the best for the benefit of the client. Very knowledgeable, approachable, and at ease person. I would highly recommend Ruth Westmont and her team. for legal consultations.

Ruth did not represent me well during my divorce. To start off, I could not meet with her when needed, but she did email back which, of coarse, cost money every time. When we did go to court, the final paperwork given to the judge was not only inaccurate but it had someone else's name in it! Finally, when she sent me my final bill it was inaccurate... she almost over charged me by $800! I feel that because I settled prior to trial I was given second rate service, which made a very emotional, stressful and difficult time in my son's and my life even more difficult when Ruth should have reassured me and been in my corner.

I highly recommend Ruth Westmont. I hired Ruth to represent me in a child support and visitation case. I could not have asked for better representation! Having her on my side lifted a big weight off my shoulders. She made me feel like I finally had someone fighting for me and my rights as a father. During our hearing it was clear that she had the most experience out of anyone else in the entire courtroom. The commissioner ruled in our favor and I am so glad that she was my lawyer!

Ruth Westmont is the best lawyer I have ever had she is a no-nonsense lady straight to the point, but is also very polite and courteous along with her entire staff. Ruth Westmont took on my divorce even though I wasn't in her normal area and I am so glad she did Ruth saved me thousands of dollars in my divorce I would recommend her to anyone who's looking for a good lawyer!
