Tracey Wood and her firm were able to get a judge to say the officer in my case should not have started field sobriety tests, and that made my breath test get suppressed. I only got an expired registration instead of a drunk driving case.

I have been meaning to write in about my experience with Tracey Wood and Associates since last August when she handled our appeal. Happily I have been too busy reconnecting with my husband who had been wrongfully convicted of a crime and served almost 3 years in prison. When other people hear our story they cannot believe how we got into a situation where my husband, a man from a good neighborhood, pillar in the community and church would end up with a 16 year sentence for a crime he did not commit. So when it was time for the appeal we really did our homework. We came to Tracey because of her reputation as one, if not THE best in the state on appeals, and we are so glad we did. She did not just tell us things we wanted to hear to appease us, but rather critically analyzed each aspect of our case to look for the best elements to build our grounds for appeal. We had a team of friends and family who wanted to have input into the case and she and her team were willing to listen to and review our input and ideas. She met with our whole group and listened to all of the areas we felt were miss-handled and considered them along with her full analysis. She and her team did a very thorough and complete job and examined each and every aspect of the case that could possibly prevail on appeal. In addition to Tracey’s tremendous attention to detail and skills in legal strategy, I just cannot emphasize what an amazing legal writer she is. Her appeal documents were spot on, clear and well organized. The brief is the last impression the judge is left with when making a ruling on the case. Thanks to the appeal brief, expert testimony that Tracey Wood and Associates organized for us, and Sara’s performance in the courtroom, the judge overturned the conviction and my husband is back home with us. The state is appealing to the Appellate Court, so we are not done yet…but Tracey is writing our rebuttal…I can’t think of any better vote of confidence than that.

Thank you Tracey for helping me get off an OWI. It was my first OWI but it was not my fault and the cops did procedures wrong when they arrested me. Tracey watched the video of when I was arrested and that’s when she saw the cops make mistakes and she took this to court. I was arrested for Possession With Intent To Distribute Marijuana last year. I was only 19 and did not know what the consequences of my actions might be so I was not worried at first. I also did not have a lot on me that I was going to sell so I thought that I would just get a ticket. But then I did research on the Internet and saw that I could go to jail for 3 and a half years if they found me guilty in court and that scared me a lot. My parents found Tracey Wood on the Internet and hired her to be my lawyer. I didn’t know how a lawyer would help me since it was obvious that I had the marijuana on me, but she ended up getting the Intent to Distribute part taken out and so I was only charged with Possession of Marijuana. I had to pay a fine but I didn’t have to go to jail at all which made me and my parents very relieved. I would say to anybody that they should hire Tracey Wood if you have a case like mine because she knows how to handle them very well.

Tracey Wood’s firm represented me on my felony drunk driving case. I thought I was guaranteed to go to prison for at least a little while because I got probation and jail time on my last one. I figured the judge wouldn’t be lenient this time, but Tracey made a deal with the prosecutor that got me an even better deal than last time - probation and a bracelet for a short period of time. My wife and I were very happy when we heard the news, and we are both very happy we chose Tracey to be my lawyer. I give her services 5 stars.

Ms. Wood was my attorney on a second degree sexual assault case. The incident in question involved my ex-wife who wrongfully claimed that we had a non-consensual sexual encounter before our divorce. This was completely fabricated. I was afraid that I had no hope fighting against my wife’s word (due to my assumptions that alleged sexual assaults always ended in a conviction for the perpetrator), but Ms. Wood convinced me otherwise. She went to great lengths getting testimony from those who knew my wife and me, and thoroughly examined my wife’s testimony from her interview with the investigator, enough that I felt confident taking the case to trial. Since my wife virtually recanted her claim of sexual assault, I did not want to “settle” for a lesser sentence before trial. The jury ultimately found me Not Guilty. I don’t think I would have had such a favorable result with a different attorney. Ms. Wood worked hard and gave much personal attention to my case, which secured me a win in the end.

I was arrested for forgery. My sister told the police that I forged our mother’s signature on her Power of Attorney form in order to collect her money when she passed away, which was not true. My mother also knew that this wasn’t true but my sister told the police that she was unaware of what I was doing behind her back.
