Through my job I qualify for a free 30 minute consultation with a lawyer. I was referred to Michael Lim. Michael called me before he needed to go into court, and chose to talk to me over the phone for maybe 15 minutes. I'm new with talking to a lawyer so I wasn't sure where to begin. I didn't have a lot of time to go over much of what is going on with my situation, most of my questions or contact information for people involved. To make a long story short, Michael was very fast to dismiss me and gave me very little advice. I guess it is because it was a free consultation. Maybe if you have a lot of money and are not displaced from your home causing you to be behind on bills due to weekly motel fees, there might be potential that you will be treated as a person with feelings. Maybe if he is getting paid he would want to make time to help you instead of making you feel inadequate, stupid or like a burden. It is a shame that some people care more about money than what they can do to make a difference. Since Christmas night I have been struggling. None of the things going on are my fault. Thankfully I qualify to be referred to a new lawyer. I just hope this new one cares and is compassionate. I do not recommend Michael Lim to anyone, especially if you are poor.

Michael Lim helped us navigate a challenging case regarding a plaintiff against us. Michael was strategic in his deliberations that resulted in a successful outcome. He outlined his strategy with us in advance and met us to review the background and the pending court appearances. He outlined multiple levels of strategy that could be invoked depending on the developments in the trial. We felt very confident with his representation and would not hesitate to retain his services again if needed. He was professional in the court room environment and clearly expressed the legal parameters of the case. In summary, we could not have asked for a better legal representative for our case.

He has always been upfront, professional and honest with what we can expect. We have the utmost respect for Attorney Lim and you can see that carries thru the entire legal process. In or out of the court room you notice this same respect in how the judges, other attorneys and agencies interact with him. We have been fortunate on the outcome of our cases. Should the turn out have not been what we were hoping for, it would have had nothing to do with what Attorney Lim did not do for us. He puts 110% into his clients and it shows.

Michael was no less than a super star. I went to court feeling very confident I had the best legal counsel possible, and I was amazed watching him represent me in court during the trial. The prosecutor never had a chance.

My lawyer quit Reff Law half way through my case. Mike Lim took over my case at Reff Law, but he did absolutely NOTHING on my case. After Lim repeatedly ignored my messages, I went into their office one day before my trial to ask Mike Lim if he was ready for the trial. He was not. He didn't even know where my file was located. When he found it at the bottom of a pile of papers off to the side, it was obvious that he had not ever reviewed it. When I told him that my trial was the following morning, he had to request a new trial date. When I asked Mike Lim why he wasn't ready, he told me Reff Law transferred the case to him when my attorney quit, but that the money I was paying his firm was not being credited to him personally, so he did nothing. He didn't want to help me. He intended to do nothing. He cared not all about me and my case.
