I contacted Steve, he returned my call next day. Though he told me he was unable to take case was helpful giving explanation of how to handle and gave several referrals for local lawyers since I am out of state resident. Great free advice, would recommend for consult.

Stephen Johnson is an excellent attorney who knows the law and is very experienced in the local courts. He advised me on the best way to resolve my issue taking into consideration his many years of experience in the court room, as well as his relationships with the prosecutors, Judges and court staff. He was a great help.

I was at a loss as to how to find a lawyer for a 2nd OWI. On my own, clueless, stricken, and confused I methodically reviewed the small jungle of “DUI lawyers near me” online. Did I even really need a lawyer? I can't afford a lawyer. I don't even make a living wage. And if I do get a lawyer, how do I find one I can trust? I could get a second job to pay a lawyer but how do I know I'm not going to get ripped off? With a little more research I found that Mr. Johnson was admitted to the United States Supreme Court, he is the only Attorney admitted to the Federal Courts in southern Door County, and is committed to protecting client rights. He certainly does go over and above! I reached out for a telephone consultation and Mr. Johnson did not disappoint. All of my questions (see above) were answered plus so many more. Mr Johnson talked things through with me, talked things out with me, stopped to give me his full attention and listen to me every time I started talking (!) and was honest with me. Unfortunately, I live too far away to retain his services. But I will never forget this man and what he did for me. He gave me my confidence back. A true steward of the people.

Steve went out of his way to provide advice regarding a sticky issue associated with an out-of-state POA for Health. HIs advice was crisp, anchored with in-depth knowledge, and benefited by his many years of practice in Door County Wisconsin. I couldn't have asked for a better counselor.

Steven is my first attorney I've ever spoken to and never have I thought I will get a very well turn out. God sent me his way for a reason. It's probably an eagle scout thing, haha! Stephen was extremely helpful in my case! Even though he was not able to help me because it was outside of his scope of work area, he was extremely helpful and explained to me what I needed to do and who I needed a contact in order to help my case.
