We retained Attorney Jonathan LaVoy of Kim & LaVoy, S.C. to represent one of our family members. Kim & LaVoy are excellent criminal defense attorneys, and they also specialize in helping those with mental health issues (believe me; this is a rare combination). I cannot speak highly enough of Attorney LaVoy! After explaining our situation and how complex our family member’s mental health history was, he immediately described an action plan. On the spot, he mapped out the anticipated legal process, the expected (lengthy) duration, and the personal challenges and delays we may face due to the mental health condition of our family member. He was exactly right. Our journey is now complete, and the outcome was exactly as we had hoped! Success!! I also want to share more about Attorney LaVoy from a personal perspective. Regardless of our family member’s challenges, including legal delays due to mental health setbacks and hospitalizations, he was always very calm and reassuring. The process included many hearings, and prior to each, he was available via Zoom to explain what to expect, listen to our family member’s concerns, and in doing so reduced the anxiety in all of us. He was always very patient and allowed as much time as we needed. (He was also very prompt in responding to my unscheduled e-mails and telephone calls.) When speaking directly to our loved one, he consistently displayed a unique gift of blending concise legal advice with sincere compassion.

Over the years, I have worked with numerous lawfirms with mutual clients, Kim & LaVoy have been outstanding in comparison. They are highly professional, courteous, and truly care about giving their clients the best possible representation, especially Jamie LaVora and Jennifer Flynn; they have always appeared to go above and beyond for their clients. They are great to work with!

My experience with Kim and Lavoy was simply amazing! I worked with Jamie who was so attentive, quick, and thorough with fighting my ticket, getting it reduced and saving my license from suspension!
