I initially met with Mr. Duncan back in January with a no cost, no obligation consultation. At the time, I was overwhelmed with debt (foreclosure, charge offs, and a judgment). Mr. Duncan explained my options in great detail and informed me that my situation (means test pending) qualified for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Mr. Duncan asked me why I decided to contact his law firm instead of the other lawyers in Mecklenburg County. I informed Mr. Duncan that I was thoroughly impressed with the content on his website and his informative YouTube videos. The paralegal (Brooke) that was assigned to my case was very prompt with her email responses and informative. Just as Mr. Duncan stated during our meeting, my court filing date was in March and the trustee /creditors meeting was held in mid April. My daughter received a traffic ticket and being from Chicago who do we turn to for help and guidance. We received a number of letters from local law firms but Farmer &Morris Law stuck out to us.
Gabrielle and Alexis worked with us through the very difficult issues because of the Pandemic. They suggested Megan take an in person driving class, but we couldn’t find any locally in Illinois because of the lockdown. On top of that Megan then needed to go to Florida for 4 months. How to prepare a case the court would accept?

Let me begin this review by explaining that I had an EXTREMELY rough case to overcome due to an unrelated attorney I had hired prior to Mr. Kelley. My case was also very unique in its level of difficulty in general, so that also added to the likelihood that I would not see a successful outcome. At the recommendation of the PBA, I retained Kelley Law Group and was consulted by Mr. Kelley on a different direction he thought we should take in relation to my case. He was upfront and honest with me in his belief that my case may not be winnable due to several errors made by others and myself prior. He was NOT there just to take my money...he appeared 100% compassionate (Workers Comp really put me through the ringer!) and wanted nothing more than to get me the desired outcome I wanted and rightfully deserved. The following was a very unlikely thing for me to personally do but I was at the end of my rope -- I decided to put every ounce of faith into Mr. Kelley and adhere by everything he insisted we do to give my case at least a fighting chance. His professional/legal advice was a Godsend to me. Because of this man's hard work, knowledge of the law and attention to detail, along with the dedication and hard work from all of the employees at Kelley Law Group, I WON MY CASE!! In 2006, while working as a patrol officer, I had a heart attack on the job. This led to several weeks in the hospital and months of recovery. The City I work for denied my claim under the Heart and Lung Bill. Based upon recommendation from my union, I sought out Paul Kelley to represent me. I did not know it at the time, but this would turn out to be the best decision I have ever made.
The city fought ruthlessly to deny my claim; so much so that at one point, I wondered if it was worth the fight. Paul assured me that it was and he was absolutely right. The city continued to deny my claim and Paul took them to court and won. Despite this, the city still denied my claim and appealed. Paul went before the appellate court in Miami, which consisted of a 3 judge panel. All three judges unanimously upheld our win in the lower court. The city now, by court order, recognizes and is responsible for my claim.
Since 2006, I have had to have many heart related procedures. I had to retire medically as a police officer. Paul represented me through all of this and negotiated a transition from officer to a civilian administrative position, where I presently continue to work.
In 2020, I developed severe heart failure and had to undergo an evaluation for a heart transplant. Paul again represented me throughout this very scary time. Thanks to Paul and his team, I received the medical attention that I needed in a timely manner. Luckily, I did not have to undergo transplantation at this time and am continuing to receive medical therapy.
I have had the need for an attorney more than I have ever imagined that I would. I can tell you, Paul is an absolute expert pertaining to the Heart and Lung Bill and Worker's Compensation. Above all else, he is one of the nicest and most caring people you will ever meet. He has put together a team of experts. Connie, Barbara and Kristin are the best! During this recent transplant scare, they worked late hours and did whatever it took to make sure that I got what I needed medically. You absolutely cannot go wrong with choosing Paul to represent you. 14 years after choosing Paul, I still say it was the best decision I have ever made.

I hired Mark to represent my son who was arrested on what I believed shouldn't have even happened that involved someone that we've known for 20 plus years. Mark reviewed all the information I provided to him as well as the info that he got on his own. We all agreed my son did say somethings out of anger/hurt but this arrest was not necessary, it was a petty move on the plaintiffs part. At court Mark stood his ground and did not accept anything less than what was best for my son the state's attorney wanted something that would not have benefited anybody other than the plaintiff and Mark said no that's not happening I was very impressed with him and his services. He was very kick to respond to emails, calls and texts too. I was having a lot of trouble getting paid for injuries received during an auto accident. I had been trying for six months to reach a fair settlement but was getting nowhere. Generally with most attorneys the initial consultation is free as was the case with David. However David saw me again without charge even though my case was too small to require an attorney and gave me excellent advise on managing my own case so that I could recuperate bills and damages. The particular insurance company was dragging its feet about offering a settlement and David gave me advise on navigating their bureaucracy. It worked. They offered a settlement and surprise, surprise it is under fair value as David predicted they would. David even provided the form for me to file on my own behalf in the case. He is the first attorney I would contact. Very honest, straightforward, and has excellent experience dealing with cases.

MR. Douglas Rohan is an amazing attorney. I was charged with two serious felonies. If convicted I would of faced two years jail time and possible deportation. MR. My teenaged son, while intelligent in many aspects of life, made a very bad decision and was arrested along with a couple of friends for drug possession (felony) & alcohol (minor in possession). Doug represented me in another case & delivered very favorable results so I was confident when I approached him with my son’s case.
Doug took my son and another boy’s case and represented them as co-defendents. Doug worked with a State Prosecutor in/out of court for a weeks, and in the end their cases were dismissed. The boys were required to attend drug and alcohol classes & complete community service hours. Needless to say, my wife, son & I were more than pleased with the outcome!

Terri took on a tough case with a life altering, and devastating injury. I am a lawyer who does not practice in this area of law. My Husband hired Terri when he had a work injury (falling off of a ladder while installing OSHA safety equipment of all things) he was off his feet for 12 weeks while the doctor’s reconstructed his leg. These injuries will last a lifetime and mean limping, pain and future surgeries. It looks like an erector set from childhood holding all those bones together.

I contacted Mr Champagne, concerning my immigrational issues. I needed a waiver from all the vaccines including covid19 . These were requirements for my green card application. I was told by three receptionist in different immigration clinics i called that , there was no way i could get a green card without getting vaccinated. He did the waiver together with my other documents and posted them on September 23 . I received my green card just three weeks after that. He is very outstanding.
