My nephew is in jail. The public defender doesn't return calls or letters. My brother, sister and myself call and he will not call back. Secretary told a lie and said it was not legal to talk to us. Basically take whatever plea deal they give because they are doing the bare minimal and have no plan on helping.

So in Wyoming the bar for attorneys performance is so low that a JD can literally fall asleep at trial and is still deemed competent. Ryan however did try his best to make sure that he met that bar. He "forgot" to tell me that 90% of the facts-based-on-evidence was thrown out, what the police fabricated was proven fabricated, and said I would go to prison for 10 years if I didn't take a plea deal for 3 months probation. After 5 months in jail with no bail and hearing from him twice this is difficult to refuse. The following week Ryan send me the letters showing that he had things thrown out. My understanding is that he didn't want to go to trial. Still demanded the max a public defender can as payment for the courts, he was a little peeved that I made more in Army medical retirement thanks to a grenade than he made working at his job. My suspicion was confirmed as just a few weeks later he left the Public Defender's Officer with zero notice. He dropped all of his cases and left the state. What a nice guy! Supreme Courts upheld my appeal on the grounds that he very technically performed the bare minimum, although Kirk Morgan and the Supreme Court Justices would say off-the-record this is really on the line as it's clear I was innocent and this was a lazy and ineffective attorney. Ryan, as you blocked my number I'll say we'll talk later. Maybe you'll be a used car salesmen, maybe you'll be at Daddy's firm in Jacksonville, maybe you'll be a public defender in your 5th district in 7 years. But you broke apart my family entirely due to your laziness. God can't do all the work.

Not good!!!! Get your own attorney anyway that you can. Especially if you are DISABLED. And/or this is your first mistake. My opinion; this attorney has no interest in your case or you. He will insist you take a plea even if they have documents proving you innocent, then lie to the judge about what he did.... The Sweetwater court system is completely different than anywhere I've lived in this state. No compassion for people with disabilities, definitely not ethical, public defender. Messed up paperwork on the case was the only thing that was consistent. (kangaroo court). Public defender was rude, refused to Cooperate with the guardian. Talked to us like we were complete idiots. I regret ever moving to a place with so little integrity in the city center. Do go with a private attorney! (not from the area) or insist on the head public defender. If it smells rotten it usually is. Rocksprings government will always be what it has always been.

I'm appalled at the representation my son received. Had to pay a private attorney to go back through his case. Months later misdemeanor charges are still haunting our entire family. I think this guy is in the wrong occupation. His interest is not in helping the defense and that was very obvious.

Tended to side with prosecution and not give me much time to communicate with him or his team. Had to threaten to fire him just for a a real conversation. Nevertheless, he can complete a case, which sadly is better than some lawyers.
