This law farm is one of the best in Alabama. They took my case as if it was their own family members. I felt their presence all the time. Even when case was closed Mr Jaffe and Mr. Brown checked on me. I highly highly recommend them.

Hired Attorney Michael Whisonant from out of state to help a relative with an outstanding matter in the Birmingham courts. He was highly suggested by a renown criminal defense lawyer in my home state. After review of the case, Mr. Whisonant counseled me concerning his thoughts of how the case might be resolved. He was up front with the possible hurdles and that it might take many months. My one request was that he provide status updates, which he did regularly. He was able to reach a resolution that exceeded his original thoughts and did it an expediated fashion. I would highly recommend him for representation and I can confirm he is a man of his word.

My attorney from this firm was non-responsive, dismissive, and unprofessional. He did not adequately prepare me for how we would approach my first and most important court date, and was late to said court date. He ignored many of my emails and calls, refusing to attend a single court date after the initial one. He neglected to handle a handful of important steps in my case (either due to laziness or unfamiliarity with the statues he was supposed to be familiar with), which could have resulted in even bigger legal issues for me. I reached out expressing my grievances and concerns shortly after the resolution of my case (I cc'd the other larger attorneys at the firm as well) and never received a response from any of them. Hilariously enough, the signature on my attorney's email was the following: ‎"All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." Edmond Burke I don't know if I'd call him a good man, but he certainly did nothing

I can’t even begin to say enough great things about Mr. Jaffe and Mr. Brown. They were always available to me and handled my case with the utmost professionalism. They gave me the best advice and resolved my case to a successful conclusion. I’m so thankful I had an attorney like JB Brown to guide me he is simply the best. I know JB had more important cases than mine but he always returned my call and made himself available. He made me feel like I was his only client. Brett did outstanding work with the caseload he was dealt. He went above and beyond, driving out of his way to make it to my part of the state. A clerk who oversaw some of my paperwork even gave him kudos for how well prepared he was for my case. After each meeting he offered words of wisdom and encouragement during moments where they were much needed. I wouldn't hesitate to choose Brett again if I needed to.

If you are reading this review, you most likely are in a harrowing situation and don't know where to turn. Here is what my experience taught me: The District Attorney has more control over your life than the POTUS does. You are in the battle for your life against the DA. To take on someone with so much power, you need super heroes. Mild-mannered Richard Jaffe is actually Superman. The law firm of Jaffe, Hanle, Whisonant & Knight is the true Justice League. I want to also include Jonathan Brown. He and Richard are who I interacted with the most. I sincerely thank them for how they handled my case, and I highly recommend this firm.
