Edited: I got a call from an attorney here asking about my bad review. She said that she listened to the recording of the call and the person who I spoke with was new and has been pulled back to give more training. This is good news! The attorney who called me was very knowledgeable and was very professional. I felt comfortable talking with her and didn't feel like she was giving me prepared answers. She made me feel like she actually cared about my situation and outcome. She even offered to help me find representation elsewhere. I do appreciate the follow up and action taken, so increased my review to 4 stars from 1. Original review: I called for a consult. The person who answered the phone asked me several questions, but seemed mostly interested in how I would pay the retainer. She asked if I had a family member or friend who would sign for me? WHAT??? I was then transferred to another person. It was a free 30 m phone call with a person? who spoke like a robot. There were weird long pauses after I spoke (like those telemarketer calls) and then she would respond with, "For sure......" and some pre-worded legalese response that KINDOF fit the conversation but..... I couldn't figure out if I was actually talking to a person or a computer. I asked some basic legal questions to which was answered, "I've never heard of that." Then the next step would be for me to pay the retainer BEFORE I ever spoke with an attorney who would represent me. Once I paid, then an intake person would take all the specifics about my case and hand the case to one of the office lawyers. ..... I am so bewildered. Is this how law is practiced in Alabama (I am new here)? Is this even a legitimate attorney? A very bad first impression, needless to say, I will look elsewhere for legal representation.

This law firm has been amazing to work with! Originally Holly helped me move my divorce case to Alabama from Texas. Now Holly Brasher is helping me with an adoption case. Everyone at the firm has been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and immensely patient no matter how many questions I have had. 10/10 would recommend them for all your legal needs!

Julie assisted me with a family court issue. She was timely and professional. I was especially impressed with her speaking to my child about the proceedings. It made all the difference!

I contacted the law firm to represent me when my wife filed for divorce. They onboarded me quickly but it took a while to meet my attorney. I gave them all the facts of the case and they went to digging for discovery and found all the filings from the other attorney. I do like that everything was digital and it comes to your email so you're immediately updated. With that being said, I had to continue to reach out to the firm to get updates from my attorney. They charge a fee for a less than $5 phone call, they charge $19 for uploading a file in the portal. They nickel and dime for the smallest of things which can be taxing as you are already dealing with a lot during a divorce. It was difficult to get my attorney on the phone and for him to respond at all. When the judge ordered us for trial they said it would be $10,000 and if I didn't have it that I would be dropped as a client, in which I was. They lied on the court filings stating that I asked to drop them which was furthest from the truth. They agreed since I had paid my retainer that they could still advise me throughout the process yet a week later after they dropped me I received a good luck email. When I responded asking about my retainer and advising I heard nothing back. They continued to invoice me for charges even after dropping me as their client. Choose another law firm that doesn't want to break you financially and that cares. It was a horrible experience to endure especially during such a difficult & emotional time.

I honestly can’t find the words to express how thankful I am for Jacey Jefferson. I came to Jacey with a custody case that became worse due to the other party. Jacey handled my case as if it was her own custody case. From checking in on me, to keeping me level headed, she was on point. Jacey owned the court every-time we had to appear.
