My case involved multiple claimants which complicated the settlement. Below are the pros and cons experienced prior to the settlement: Cons:. Attorney failed to tell us at the beginning that our case could take years due to the fact there were multiple claimants. Attorney didn't tell us that our payoff would be limited to the amount of coverage each policy provided and would be divided amongst claimants. We did not find this out until the end. Attorney needs to develop a means of providing periodic status on the case when it last more than 6 months. There were numerous times where contact them. Attorney did not fully explain that the fee does not include check processing fees. Pros:. Excellent paralegal. She stayed on top of the case and always pleasant no matter how many questions where asked. Attorney did an outstanding job getting insurance companies to pay medical expenses upfront versus applying charges as part of the settlement. By using this approach attorney fees were not charge against these medical expenses. Not all attorneys do this.....which makes Attorney Lilienthal a great lawyer to have on your case. Attorney is very knowledgeable and very patient/thorough in answering your questions.
