I totally would recommend Stephen . He helped me with a legal matter with my sister and did a great job. This was Three years ago. And here just recently helped me get questions and answers I need for my deceased fathers estate. Both times he knew what he was doing. He cares about his clients and does a great job.

I hired Stephen thru a referral from my parents lawyer Wilford Taylor. I hired him to preserve all that my parents wanted. He talked me into changing everything my parents paid good money to have written on their Wills Trusts and Estate! He wrapped it all up nicely and handed it all to my brothers with a bow and I got nothing and the brother my mother took out of her estate got half sharing all with my other brother who Stephen talked me into giving Executorship!!! Beware! When emotions are involved I wanted my relationship with my lawyer and did exactly what he asked me to do...I got screwed in the end and got nothing!!! Even out of moms vault because he said "how do I know this $100.00 bill is not worth a million"? Idiot google it! He is terrible to say the least!!! STAY AWAY RUN AWAY!

Our company finds money through various sources, then finds the heirs who can claim those funds. Stephen has done all our court work in AZ for many years and has successfully represented us. He's very knowledgeable and through his tenacity was responsible for getting our legitimate heirs paid when the State read their own laws incorrectly. I wish the other attorneys I have to work with in other states were half as good!

I asked Stephen to help me when my dad passed away with the family trust. He was very helpful the whole way and would give me great advice on how I should handle certain items of the trust. The only time that I was not able to reach Stephen was when he was in court or a deposition. His staff was very kind and helpful and made sure that my message reached Stephen when I was not able to speak to him when I called.

Stephen is skilled and knowledgeable in the probate arena, where he has represented me for years. Most important to me - he is honest and ethical. A reasonable, level-headed practitioner, Stephen is always tuned in to handling cases and solving issues that arise in them efficiently and cost-effectively. This is not an attorney who will drag a matter out longer than necessary just to churn fees or create controversy where none should exist. Even though he doesn't approach a case looking for a fight, have no fear that he is entirely capable of being a strong and aggressive advocate for his client when the situation warrants. It's clear to me after working with him on dozens of cases that doing what is right (morals) is more important to Stephen than proving that he is right (ego). As a result, his fees are always very reasonable for the invaluable service he provides. If you're looking for an attorney you can trust, who won't take you to the cleaners, who will fight for what is right without starting a war - Stephen is your man. Highly recommended!

Brian worked my case for 2 years and was much better prepared than all other attorney's involved. I can honestly say that without Brian as my attorney, I would not have won the judgement that I received. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a top notch professional. He went the extra mile in his work.

I cannot speak highly enough about Veronika Fabian. After consulting with Veronika and her partner, they took my case against a car dealership that had failed to live up to their end of an agreement. The case was not easy, but in the end the arbitrator ruled in our favor. The legal advice and guidance they provided to my wife and I throughout the process showed they genuinely cared about us and our case. Always responsive and honest with us from start to finish, we could not have done it without them.

My client hired Veronika who successfully handled an egregious credit error by a large financial institution. She was one of the most pleasant attorneys I've ever dealt with. She was exceptionally pleasant, helpful, patient and handled herself with honor and class. I highly recommend her!

At first I called three local attorneys, two of which didn’t handle my type of case and left me at a lost as to which direction I should go. The third attorney I contacted didn’t handle my situation as well, but took the time to explain that I needed a Contract Law attorney and went further to recommend an attorney that specialized in case vs. auto dealerships. I was grateful for the lead and immediately contacted the Law Office of Choi & Fabian. Right from my initial conversation with Ms. Fabian I knew she was knowledgeable about automobile contracts and was very patient as I explained my dilemma. She asked to review the contracts and related documents. While waiting over the course of a weekend, I received a call from the dealership stating they have reconsidered our issue and were willing to unwind the deal. I spoke with Ms. Fabian on Monday and she agreed that a simple and quick resolution is favorable. I was not out for vengeance or a punitive damages award. I wanted to part company with this new car dealership and that is what I got. Note: In my state doesn’t have a 3-Day Right To Cancel Law, therefore disputes are difficult to resolve. Thank you Ms. Fabian for your concerns and being accessible.

If this is the same Rick Crenshaw that works for Davis Miles he is the man. If you have a problem that you don't know how to handle Rick will tell you how to take care of it. He has helped me out several times over the years and always gives me the information to solve problems without any litigation. I recommend him highly. I wish my friends were all like him!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Chandler, Arizona?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
