Whenever I've had to go to family court, I've had the feeling of being dehumanized, degraded, disrespected and extorted. Court clerks, appointed attorneys and callous judges carry out the business of destroying your family under a serpentine veneer of false compassion and justice. As if the relationship with your children is up for ransom... I understand why so many men feel hopeless and walk away.... But every so often... you are blessed with the opportunity to meet someone like Heidi Davis... An amazing lawyer and even more importantly a compassionate human being. I was literally stunned when Heidi spoke to me with dignity and kindness... As if I was a father who loves and misses his children. Heidi was kind, understanding and patient with me even as I struggled to wrap my head around being treated as if my family and I actually matter... Soft mushiness aside, in the court room, Heidi Davis is a force to be reckoned with, brilliant, tactical and a fierce fighter... Finally I felt like someone was actually on the side of truth.... Someone who would fought tooth, claw and nail on my behalf. No matter how dirty the other side played, I never left court feeling like we didn't fight as hard as humanly possible. Having to go to family court sucks but if you must go, Heidi Davis is who you want representing your case.... While you can never guarantee anything in Family court... One thing you can be certain of... is that Heidi Davis will listen, treat you with respect and rain righteous justice to serve you and your family the way she did mine. #heididontplaythat
