I had one consultation with Mark and before he was even my lawyer he looked at the case and acted as my lawyer and called the opposing lawyer right away to get more details about a ridiculous acquisition i was up against. That moment I Hired Mark as my attorney for a custody/divorce settlement. I was up against some tough odds going into the case hearing trying to win custody of my son and Mark and his team did everything in his power to make sure I would get custody of my son. He is a great lawyer and highly recommend. Easy to contact and communicate with.

As a divorced father, I found myself in an emergency situation, fighting for custody of my kids. My original attorney, with another firm, was not able to accurately convey my case to the judge, resulting in an unfavorable ruling against me. After hiring Mark, he entered my case fighting an uphill battle, and was able to skillfully achieve the results I was seeking. He is fair, honest, intuitive, and incredibly smart. I wouldn't consider using anyone else for family law.

Avoid this attorney!!!!. I had hired Mark Shields when he said he we had a good case to do an appeal to an unfair ruling that I had received. He took the case and I paid the exorbitant fees for him to appeal. Then when reading over his appeal, I discovered that he was only appealing one part of the case. I never agreed to that, and explained that I wanted it all appealed. He still refused. The ex's attorney ended up withdrawing. Had he not refused, it could have saved me a lot of further legal expenses the following year.

Mark has been my attorney for the last 10 years. He even remembers what happened to my case 9 years ago. Great Attorney and has always been there me. He won all my cases and he finally ended being a great friend...

I worked with Mr. Shields on my family court appeal. He was truly nothing short of amazing. He was kind and patient as I filled him in on the lengthy background of the case.
