Charles handled our bankruptcy in 2019. We were told that we could reaffirm our mortgage which we had never missed a payment on , and still have not. When we went to refinance this year we discovered he had never filed the reaffirmation paperwork he had said he would. He had assured us that while everything had to be incorporated in the bankruptcy that that would be reaffirmed as would our car loan that was also current. However, he sent someone in his stead to court and apparently left it up to that person to file the paperwork? I have tried contacting him several times and have received no response. He only responded to one text saying that “judges don’t reaffirm real property.” I’m not even sure what that means, but that was NEVER part of the conversation we had before. He had assured us that it would be reaffirmed. Otherwise, we would never have gone this route. The fact that he has not returned three emails to help us address this with our mortgage company, four years later leads to my frustration. It does not show any of our payments for the last four years to the credit bureau! And we are stuck on how to reaffirm our mortgage. Very frustrating! I would not recommend going to this lawyer. We were handed off and the paperwork not properly filed and now no response at our request for help.

well he took my 1340 and didnt file proper paperwork witch almost caused me too loose my homes my buisness my only source of income he does not care about his clients best interest do yourself a favor look for another better lawyer

Going through a BK is hard enough, Mr Leftwich was patient and willing to answer all of my questions. The process was made painless and easy. When issues arose after the BK, with debt collectors attempting to collect after we filed, his firm graciously and effectively handled all of the harassment of those turkey buzzards. If in seven years, I need to file again, I will HAPPILY file with his firm again.
