Everyone in this firm is friendly and extremely helpful. All my questions where address immediately, my stress level dropped tremendously. I was able to trust my attorney Robyn Barrett and really feel she understood the position I was in. I appreciate that she took the time to make sure my expectations were realistic with what the law allows without making me feel defeated. Overall I just felt heard and supported. While lots of firm claim to be client focused, the Modern Law team actually lives up to the standard of being client-centric. Having worked with law firms around the country, I get to see where organizations struggle with this concept. Here are examples of where Modern Law excels: Let’s say you are a new client trying to find a family law firm. Initially, the Modern Law website, podcast and social media have a ton of free content to help you process next steps. Also, the team is very accessible right out of the gate with quick responses. The firm also leverages tech to deliver services efficiently and to enhance communication with clients. With trials/hearings going online, the firm provides in-office video conference equipment for clients to appear before the court. Finally, the firm leverages pods or teams of lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants to make sure the right team is handling the right task for a client’s matter. All good stuff.

When I first started looking for legal help, I was scared and had so many questions. Elizabeth at Modern Law helped me through the process so much. She and her paralegal, Amanda, were always quick to respond to any questions I had and always explained things in easy-to-understand language. I walked in to talk with the attorney about seeing if I had a case with my auto accident. I heard the attorney in the back talking to someone about their employee having Covid and not being able to come in. I had to get out of there for two reasons. One COVID of course. I was scared about the fact the entire office was not quarentined because one of their employees tested positive. TWO isn't it against the law for an attorney to give out personal health information over the phone to another client? If you are telling your employees personal health information to a client and going against HIPPA what makes me think you are not going to tell my personal medical concerns to anyone that wants to listen.

Modern Law really cares about their clients, and are experts in the divorce process, and it shows! You should at least schedule a consultation with them to get their perspective, even if you don't want to retain an attorney. They are a wealth of knowledge and very compassionate.
