I was called for jury duty some time ago, and was amazed and impressed by how careful and diligent Mr Bernays was about protecting his client during that process. His questions were probing and pertinent, perceptive and useful. The other part of this which really impressed me was that the prosecutor and even judge kept getting annoyed with him and they wanted to rush it, gave him grief, but he just patiently and politely kept digging until he was sure someone selected for jury duty was impartial. I would have been intimidated by the amount of flack he got. If I were up against criminal charges, I would use him. That's how I recalled his name (besides reminding me of a gourmet sauce!) - I made a note of it because he was truly working hard for, thinking of, and protecting the best interests of his client Truly impressive - enough to make me remember him and take the time to write this - perhaps for the benefit of someone else who may need a diligent fighter in their corner.

I have a very serious criminal case! I initially hired what I thought was a dream team to handle it, 2 attoneys who after 4 months I fired due to incompetency. Then I hired Tonya Peterson and Michael Bernays. If you get Michael to take on your case consider yourself very lucky! Michael speaks and you want to listen. I went to him with my initial problems with my other lawyers and he met with me 2 or 3 times for nothing!!
