I am a fellow attorney in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and I have known David for about five years. I practice exclusively in the area of Family Law – So, David is my go-to referral source for all clients needing legal representation in Criminal and Personal Injury matters. David is EXCELLENT. He is knowledgeable and personable. He responds to all inquiries quickly and will make you feel confident that you are in the right hands. I would not hesitate to hire David Black for legal representation - I personally give him my stamp of approval!

I've worked with David Black and his team on 2 occasions and it was great both times. Experts were brought in and every angle of my case was explored and researched. When it came time to make decisions I felt like all the options and information were given to me. The funny thing is that I got more than what I was asking for so that's my main reason to give a 5 star rating. Highly highly recommended!

I was arrested in Mesa and was scared to death. I'd never been in trouble before and had no idea what to do or who to call or even what to expect. After calling a few other offices I tried calling David Black. I was surprised after having gotten only answering services that he actually answered the phone. Within minutes I felt as if I was talking to a friend. He spoke to me without judgement or detachment. He took time out of his busy schedule to talk to me right then and listened to what I had to say. He explained everything step by step, what I could expect, what may happen and what my next steps should or could be, but most of all he helped me relax in the most scary and stressful time in my whole life. I wasn't prepared for something like this to happen as I'm sure no one is but found his fees to be very reasonable and more affordable than most. Graciously, he offers payment plans and never makes anything about the money. He stayed with me step for step through the whole process and didn't ever make me feel like I was being led blindly into anything. I knew what to expect, what would be said, how it would be said every time I had to deal with the court system. He was always available for my questions but working with him I felt comfortable the whole time and didn't have to worry about what to do or what I should be doing because he explained everything in detail the whole time. I can't say how thankful I am that I found Mr. Black. In a searching for a needle in a haystack situation I am lucky that he was there. I recommend him hands down to anyone needing a criminal lawyer for anything not only because of his expertise but his affordability and honest, good nature. I thought all lawyers were wolves in sheep's clothing but I have definitely been proved wrong. It could have been a long bad road and instead it was the best possible outcome I could have expected.

Very pleased. He actually cared. This guy knows criminal law. He explained things all the way thru and took my calls. He recently handled a personal injury matter for me, and the result was as good as I could have hoped for. As a lawyer turned musician myself, I always go to Dave with my legal needs. After being arrested for suspicion of a DUI I was devastated. So much was on the line with my career in limbo. A friend referred me to David. I was facing extreme odds but David was meticulous in his approach to the case. He looked at every possible angle, ultimately picking apart the prosecutors case against me. If you are looking for someone that is honest, committed, understanding, extremely intelligent and will do anything that he can to assist you, David Black is the one you want to hire! David is great at what he does. He is always available to communicate directly to you instead of through his staff. He is going to tell you the truth not just going to tell you what you want to hear. I would actually like to give him a 5++++ rating. Don't look any further!

Horrible. I had a time frame to do something and they said they would get back to me that day. They didn't and left me hanging which put me in a really tight spot. I even called back to remind them of my time schedule and said if they can't do it they need to let me know and they assured me they would take care of it.

I had Mr. David Black represent me for a DUI case and he was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for better representation. Very professional and helpful. He also dealt with issues that I had with payment and was very flexible. He went out of his way for my case and saw it through to the very end. He worked out a great deal for me with the judge when I was out of state and got many of my charges dropped. He gave me great advice and helped me out a great deal. I would really recommend him to anyone!

Last year i was arrested for DUI and i had absolutely no idea what to do or where i should turn, i contacted 4 other lawyers and knew from the first 3 min. he was the one i needed. He was real and honest, everyone else told me they could beat my case although thats what i wanted to hear, i also wanted someone to be honest with me not just coddle me. David told me what i was looking at if i did loose my case. He didnt blow my head up with an idea that i might win. He prepared me for the worst of my situation. And im happy to say at the end he won my case. And did more than what he prepared me for. David went out of his way in my eyes not only did he give me my life back but he also gave me comfort for the time my case was going on. I didnt have to worry about dates and dealing with everything on my own. I am very greatful to David and what he did for me. thanks again

I cannot say enough about the great job that David A. Black did for me. I was referred to him by a friend of mine that had worked with him in the past. From the beginning he NEVER over promised anything (which drives me insane). He was straight forward with me and kept me well informed on each development. I always appreciate complete honesty, even if it is bad news. Ultimately, after some great lawyering, he got me a FANTASTIC deal and everything played out exactly as we had hoped it would. After other horror stories i've heard, I'm glad to say that working with David was a pleasure. If you hire him, you will know from the beginning that you have someone that cares about your case and truly wants to help you out. NOT TO MENTION HE'S INCREDIBLY FAIR PRICED. Horrible I paid $5000.00 I got a urinating in public charge. They set me up with a attorney. She didn't show up to court once. A different court date she canceled the court date and didn't notify me so I showed up stressed out and wasted my day I called off work for. I call to speak with David Michael Cantor I felt my attorney was not representing me or doing her job I was told by the managing attorney David J. Maletta I was not allowed to speak with David Michael Cantor he only deals with the big cases I would need to spend 10's of thousands of dollars for him to hear me out. Then my attorney quit mid-case I felt horrible. They assigned Elizabeth Mullins to my case so here I am sitting in her corner office hoping and praying she goes to court I lose $5000.00. I get the same exact charge I would have without a attorney. I think if you put your name on your business paying clients should have the ability to speak with you. Go somewhere else.
