Last month, July 2024, I was looking for a criminal lawyer in Phoenix Arizona. I live in Kansas City and had no clue who to turn to. I finally found Belen law firm on google and I contacted them immediately. The response was spontaneous and they delivered an outstanding results for me. I chat at Ed, Belen, and Dave.

When I contacted Belen I was distraught. It was a holiday weekend and I submitted my information and she called me on Labor Day! She was so caring and understanding and was ready to fight for my rights. She was able to get my case closed and put this nightmare behind me. I highly recommend Belen and her legal team!

Belen is how we call her yes it's her first name but her passion for her work makes you feel so secure so confident and it can't be avoided.Belen dmmtook pride in my sons case. She helped him not only in her professionalism but with her faith. She took care of all our worries represented my son putting all her effort. I couldn't have hired a better attorney.

Upon initial contact with Belen we shared our situation and she was able to explain in simple and detailed terms how the legal system works and what the possible outcomes could be. She gave us clear instructions in how best to prepare for the case and what safeguards to take. Being a previous teacher she was able to relate well and explain expectations to our teenager. Belen and her staff worked quickly in providing counseling contacts and requesting all needed documentation. She advised us to allow the system to work while she was in touch with the proper legal authorities. She was in constant contact with the detective and was able to present beneficial information regarding our teenagers hard work and positive progress in the right direction. Through Belen's empathy and communication with teens, he was able to pursue positive career and academic choices. After months of Belen's hard work, the case was closed and no charges were filed. We are forever grateful for the second chance that our teenager was given.

I had a lawyer wanting to get money out of me and my family that lawyer insisted that she had to represent us for immigration and criminal law her story didn't add up. Writing this review is hard for me. Thinking about my son's case brings to mind alot of tough memories and emotions with it. I hired her for my 16 yr old son who was facing being charged as an adult for very serious charges that included prison time. But thanks to Belen the case never even got that far. It started when The police went to his school, put my son in handcuffs, and took him downtown to question him, take DNA, fingerprints ect all without my knowledge. I had no idea what was going on. My son told them he will remain silent and wants his lawyer. Then let him go home. That's when I called Belen. Immediately upon meeting her she eased alot of our anxiety. She was compasionate, understanding, yet firm, straight forward, smart, tough lawyer, honest with what we were facing, she had an action plan and explained every step to us. We never felt rushed although she was extremely busy, She held my hand when I broke down crying. She truly, truly cares about children and her clients, I could feel it, see it in her eyes and when she talked to my son she put him at ease and let him know what to expect and that she would be there every step of the way. And she was! Literally. The detective on the case called Belen and told her they have a warrant for his arrest. Which Belen uncovered was in fact not true. They did not yet have a warrant. She advised us to self surrender him, which for a mom is heartwrenching to say the least but I trusted her 100%. She walked with us to the police station. She Stayed by his side and protected him. She made sure the detective taking him knew they better take care of him and respect his rights. And that he has a good lawyer behind him. Believe me she does not take any BS from anyone. They took him to the juvinile detention center on Durango to book him and press charges. They said he was gonna have 7 charges then dropped it to 3. I got a call the next morning from the center saying I can go get my son because they are waiting to press the charges due to waiting for more evidence to come back so we just sit and wait until that happens. A couple months went by and then we got the call from Belen. My heart sank. But she immediately said don't worry it's not bad news. She said they will not be filing any charges. Zero. My nightmare suddenly ended. I clearly had the best outcome possible. She changed my life dramatically. She saved my son. Not many people have touched me so deeply but Belen will always have a special place in my heart and I can't say enough about her. I want other parents to read this and know she is the right choice, everyone told me to just wait until they press charges and take a court appointed lawyer. But if you have a choice, know there is someone who will not only defend your child but she will do it with passion love in her heart. I chose her because I read other great reviews and her profile says she was a teacher and is familar with IEP's and I felt in my gut my she was who I needed. I called and she answered her phone herself. She was busy but still took the time to talk to me and set an appointment. Worth every penny. I honestly think she does not charge enough money for what she does...So Yes, she was the BEST decision I ever made. Thank you again Belen.

My 26 year old son was in Phoenix attending a drug rehabilitation program. After he was transferred to a sober living center , he was out one evening on a friend’s scooter when he dropped his phone. It was dark and a couple was at the intersection traffic light. My son thought he would have them call his phone to find it. Upon approach the male stepped behind my son on the scooter and stabbed him three times . My son thought he had just been hitting him and escaped on the scooter, only to collapse in the street a few blocks away. He was taken to the hospital and lost a kidney and collapsed a lung, plus other punctures. He was arrested and put in jail’s intensive care. The couple filed assault and robbery charges against my son. I called three lawyers before talking with Ms. Guerra. After talking with her, I left it with her to handle. My son was released and returned home to face a mountain of charges in three counties in Oklahoma, associated with his addiction. Ms. Guerra kept me informed and asked for information about my son and his treatment. Ms. Guerra was extremely patient with my son. It took us three Zoom meetings to get him to talk with her. Shortly after the meeting, she confirmed that she case was dismissed. It took eight months and a reasonable fee for a turnaround of unjust charges . I am extremely pleased with her assistance and results. Her staff always kept me in touch and were pleasant and helpful.
