Nearly a year into my divorce case with my first attorney, it became clear that she was not the best advocate for me. That is when I began my search for a new divorce lawyer. With less than a month to our scheduled mediation, I needed someone willing to step in and get up to speed in a very short time. After interviewing five of some of the highest rated lawyers in Phoenix, I was lucky to find Sean Campbell, at the Law Office of Daniel Hutto. Upon first hearing Sean’s friendly and confident voice on the phone, I began to feel I had found my advocate. He represented me well during that stressful and frustrating mediation. Which failed due to the other side being unwilling to compromise on a single issue— rather, using the process to threaten further legal and investigatory action against my family and me. It was an extremely unsettling experience, but Sean’s calm nature and positivity about our case going forward kept me from falling apart. He approached me with experienced guidance and a willingness to listen to my concerns. During our court prep, leading up to trial, I insisted on being deeply involved in reviewing the pre-trial statement. He was very responsive to my calls and emails, giving thoughtful consideration to my positions. Three days before our trial date, my ex’s attorney reached out to begin negotiations to settle. Admittedly guided by high emotions, I felt this option had passed. Sean was profoundly aware that going to court is a brutal life event. He took the time to share his insight and help me see that working to find a path to settling would allow our family to move forward with less trauma; and perhaps open the door to greater healing one day in the future. No one ever wins in divorce, but I am very pleased with the results of our settlement. Mr. Campbell brought a compassionate sense of humanity to a totally inhumane experience.
