We were a foster kinship placement , and sought out Mike due to questions regarding a possible upcoming severance. Being very familiar with the DCS system and the adoption process, he was able to provide us the answers to our questions. He also sought out outside counsel to a complicated question related to our situation that he was not completely familiar with. Once severance occured, he walked us through the adoption process with no problems. He is very professional as well as very personable.

We engaged Mike while we were foster parents to children of a complicated kinship situation. Michael Edgell handled our adoption very professionally and efficiently. For the most part, it was a standard foster care to adoption case, and everything went smoothly. There was a bit of a snag with the middle/last name that was caused by a mistake by the court clerk. Mr. Edgell handled the correction completely without charge even though it was not his fault. I appreciate his work and would highly recommend him to anyone needing legal help.

My husband and I started our adoption journey in 2013 when we were placed with our son. We did not have your typical smooth transition into finalization once we were placed. Our adoption was long and filled with many bumps. Mr. Edgell started with the firm we were working with part way through our process, we were asked if we would be willing to let him take over our case and we trusted the firm and agreed. Even though Mr.Edgell came in part way through it never felt that way. He had thoroughly reviewed our case and while he had a few additional questions the transition was very smooth. He was very professional and he did his best to investigate all paths while kepting us informed of everything going on. His response times were always very prompt and he did his best to answer any questions we had, if he did not know the answer he would look into it till he could. Our adoption was finalized on June 20, 2016 with Mr. Edgells help. We were very happy with his services and would recommend him to anyone.
