I recently had a very complicated employment matter which I sought the advice of Mr. Flemming. First of all, Mr. Flemming seemed very experienced and had a great deal of knowledge of the law and my circumstances. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I approached Phil regarding my equal pay and discrimination case against a large corporation, after I had a prior conversation with another firm. Because of that, I had a general idea of what were the possible legal venues available in my situation. Phil laid out similar options. Unlike the other firm, I felt that Phil was more confident and had more experience in dealing with large corporations that have a very robust legal team and a strong process to deny any wrong doing. Phil was very professional (a bit cold), but I felt it was appropriate for his role. I felt that I had a very strong case and plenty of supporting documentation. After listening attentively to my situation, Phil put a very detailed demand letter together, laying out the events and including eloquently the laws governing the situation. After a lengthy process, while the company investigated the events, they came back with a very low-ball settlement offer. Phil was instrumental in negotiating a deal and listening to my concerns. It is unfortunate that it is legal for companies to force employees into Arbitration Agreements as a condition of employment and basically force employees into forfeiting their legal rights. Because of that, I don’t feel that the law was enforced, however I do feel that Phil did a good job of listening to my concerns (while keeping an impartial stance) and he did a good job representing me and negotiating in my behalf. While the desired outcome for me would have been fairness and change in the illegal practices displayed by some of the leaders of the corporation, a settlement was reached. As everyone treated unfairly knows, money does not substitute fairness, but it’s what the corporations prefer to offer, instead of accepting responsibility and implementing change.

Mr. Flemming understood that and was very kind to me, but most importantly, was extremely professional as he represented my viewpoint to the organization. When he shared the first draft of the letter that would be sent to inform my employer of the situation, I knew that I had made the right decision when hiring Mr. Flemming to represent me. It set the tone for the situation going forward and kept discussions moving along. Every interaction with him and his staff were handled with the same professionalism. Mr. Flemming has my strongest recommendation. I hope to not use his services again, but wouldn't hesitate should the need arise.

I was smart enough to contact Phil's office immediately after my termination. Luckily for me they had me meet with Phil Fleming that afternoon. Phil was understanding, compassionate to my situation, and came across as very knowledgeable and experienced. I decided immediately to hire him to represent me. Our second letter that accompanied the lawsuit that we were going to file definitely let my employer know that "we meant business!" I was in a "David vs. Goliath" situation and we managed to prove our point and obtain a fair settlement for me...much better than what they were offering. Phil also provided great counsel in that he guided me and told me when it was time to take the settlement, rather than me spend more money and not get anymore in settlement. Therefore I found Phil to be honest and trustworthy. I was so impressed with Phil, his work that he performed on my behalf, and his overall personality that I took him to lunch to say "thank you" for that service. I now consider Phil to be a friend and he is now the only attorney that I would turn to again if needed, and he is the attorney that I would recommend to my friends or colleagues that were facing a similar workplace legal matter. Mr. Flemming was an excellent resource in my defense. I felt protected and well represented from the first time that we met. He was a constant reminder throughout my whole experience that things would be fine in the long run and there were people who I could count on that would fight for my rights.
