Jim's prior experience working as a prosecutor provides invaluable knowledge as to how that office operates, and understands their dogma. This coupled with his defense experience provides a well rounded approach to any case, that enables him to determine the key factors to instinctively build a solid defense. These key factors, coupled with his great trial experience and strategy, resulted in the acquittal by Jury of my Felony 4 Aggravated Assault charges, to include the lessor assault option that the jury could have convicted me on.
As with all cases a well document account of the instances leading up to the charge to include all details, will enable him to defend you.
In addition to Jim's well rounded legal and trial experience ,his supporting professional staff was always available to support and respond to any inquiry, no matter what the question or concern may have been. Wishing you all the very best through your difficult time, and I highly recommend Jim. Thank you Jim, and I have much appreciation for you, your staff, and office, (Particularly Megan!). All the best...

James kept me from going to jail to being on probation for an aggravated dui sentence. He researched the law and found a way to adjudicate my case within the legal parameters of fairness. I truly appreciate James' work and his expertise for handling my second dui case. Hire him. I have read these testimonials and now I find myself writing a great one for a great attorney: James Simpson.

When I was charged with a felony DUI, Jim really worked to get me the best possible outcome. He really took the pressure off of me so I was able to deal with other important life issues. He was very professional, yet made himself available whenever I had a question or just needed a little reassurance. I found him to be candid and honest with me about every aspect of my case.

This was the first time I ever needed a lawyer. I spoke with 6 or so and was impressed by Jim's compassion, knowledge and professionalism. He handled my case quickly and all charges were dropped. I never even had to go to court.

I have actually worked with Jim twice now and both times he has been absolutely amazing. He is always in contact with his clients and ensures you are well informed at all times are far as the legal stand point. I truly can't thank Jim enough for all that he has done for me and my career. He will always be in my thoughts.

I interviewed a lot of different lawyers trying to find one that made me feel comfortable not only in the outlook they had on my case, but also brought a sense of reassurance that they could handle my DUI. James is the only one that made me feel he could handle both and he did, very well. Helped me threw the process of fighting a DUI charge, we ended up going to trial. This is where it couldn't have gotten much better, he knew when to push and when to wait, his timing, knowledge and familiarity with the court was amazing. I didn't think there was any chance I was getting less than the standard, (night in jail, fines, Interlock), but he guided me through the unknown to a not guilty verdict. Advising me on decisions and using his expertise, timing, and his knowledge of the courtroom and judges to get the best possible outcome. I would recommend James E Simpson, I truly do not know how it could have turned out any better with any other lawyer!

Client received two DUI's in one day, aggravated (two counts) / extreme (two counts) in two different jurisdictions. These both carried felony charges (and equaled 7 total felonies, and could have resulted in 2.5 years in prison). Because of Jim's efforts, research, and dedication to his client, and by understanding his clients circumstances and needs (client did go through rehab and alcohol counseling voluntarily), this attorney was able to present a strong argument to the court of his client's improvement, intent in the matters, and promoted valid reason and rationale as to why his client should not be incarcerated. He also helped his client to be proactive and prepared for court. The final result: Jim's client spent two nights in jail, received one misdemeanor DUI and another undesignated felony (which turns into a misdemeanor after 1.5 years of probation is served).

Jim Simpson offered sound advise and stellar service from the initial contact to the completion of my case. Being a first time offender for DUI I was facing a very frightening and costly process. Jim was very honest about what the possible and most likely outcome could be, and how he could protect me. He was also very honest and flexible about his fees and worked out a payment plan that worked for both of us. Mr. Simpson delivered on every one of his promises and exceeded all expectations by going through the entire court process with me and successfully arguing my case. Including the MVD hearing! I would recommend Mr. Simpson to anyone facing criminal or DUI charges because I am very
confident he will promise less than he can do, and deliver more than anyone else!
