I have really enjoyed working with the folks at Fromm Smith & Gadow; I have needed to retain them twice over the last couple years. My attorney - James Cork was amazing, always keeping me informed and providing reasonable expectations; he specializes in family law and that is not just a title. I truly believe that he exhausted all the options when considering the different scenarios that I was facing to ensure we proceeded with the best possible results in mind. I feel that he kept the retainer at a reasonable amount that I could maintain through the course of the case, he also didn't make appointments or keep conversations lengthy to rack up the costs. He has been extremely professional, concise and decisive during the most challenging circumstances.

James L. Cork II has been working with me on my family law case (child custody, parenting time, legal decision making & child support) for years now. Looking back at the very beginning of my case, I can clearly see mistakes made by my previous attorney that cost me dearly; don't make the same mistake of being underrepresented in family court. James Cork is extremely knowledgeable, professional and confident, which shows in court. He responds promptly to all emails and is very attentive to detail. One of his attributes I appreciate most, however, is that he doesn't sugar-coat; he instead offers a very honest and realistic perception of what is feasible and what is not and advises accordingly. Worth the price, very highly recommended! James is currently an associate of the Fromm, Smith & Gadow law firm; I have not worked with either Stephen Smith or Jennifer Gadow, and therefore cannot speak to their abilities.

I needed an attorney for my child custody case and was extremely scared, nervous and uneasy while starting this process. I have never been to court before and this being my first and only child, I wanted someone to place my full confidence and trust in with my sensitive and personal situation. As soon as attorney James Cork II took over my case all of my anxiety was gone. I am happy to say that I made the right choice with him. He has been very thorough while collecting and reviewing my documentation and extremely professional when explaining my options and the steps he was taking while representing me. I recommend James Cork II and his team (Rhonda and Karen) to anyone who needs an attorney and hold them in the highest regard.

Typical sharks. After a $300 consultation I was told the ridiculous retainer. If they are that good, it wouldn't take them that many hours for a straight forward case.

I had the pleasure of working with Jenny Gadow and her awesome team when I went though my divorce. Jenny was great! She was a strong and knowledgeable advocate on my behalf at every step of the way. Her team kept me informed and up to date, answering all my questions. Having them on my side made a very stressful time bearable and gave me a peace of mind. And while no divorce is inexpensive, Jenny's fees were very, very reasonable. Highly recommend this firm for anyone considering a divorce.

Fromm Smith and Gadow were professional, timely and great to work with. Even though litigation can be very unpleasant I admired their ability to remain focused on the facts. They were thorough, prepared, offered salient advice and guidance. Every aspect of billing was explained to me up front and any questions that I had were answered at once. My goal and opinion was honored while being balanced with their experience and knowledge. I highly recommend this firm and applaud them for maintaining such a quality staff of consummate professionals.

I retained the law office of Fromm Smith and Gadow to represent me in a divorce. I was told that my case would be difficult and lengthy and was required to put a $20,000 retainer in escrow. My husband decided not to fight and did not even retain a lawyer, I pretty much settled the divorce with his and was billed $8100 upon completion of my divorce. Fromm Smith and Gadow is refusing to return the balance of my retainer stating that it was non-refundable. They have kept over $11,000 for no services rendered and still refuse to even consider retuning some of my money. This is disguising and terribly unprofessional especially taking advantage of those so vulnerable during such a difficult time. Watch what you sign and possibly look further toward a more ethical law firm!
