From the moment I walked into Mr. Powell's office I was treated with respect. Immediately I was offered coffee and or water (the real stuff, lol). The staff was very attentive to my needs, was very helpful, and answered all of my questions and concerns. Mr. Powell was VERY patient and thorough. He wasn't like a lot of lawyers that uses terms you cant understand. He broke down every portion of my paperwork and made sure I understood what was going on. He NEVER once made me feel guilty or embarrassed for filing bankruptcy. He was compassionate to my needs and made sure I was comfortable with my decision. I received all of my paperwork on time in the mail as promised. All of my phone calls were returned in a timely manner. Everyone I talked to were kind and polite. I really cant say enough good things about this office. I was/am VERY satisfied with ALL of their services! Don is a rare gem in the legal world. Not only is he highly knowledgeable and competent, but he is also an honest, ethical person who cares about his clients' lives. I was going through a divorce that led to bankruptcy when my ex-husband refused to pay some massive debts he had created--debts I would never have been able to pay off. I had two children to care for, and it was, to say the least, a very emotional time. Don never once talked down to me, he always patiently explained my options and answered my questions, and he never pushed me to do anything I wasn't comfortable with. He was always available when I needed him, and he even helped me on another case when I needed someone I could trust to review some legal documents for me. He went above and beyond the services I paid for and is a gracious and kind person. He truly advocates for his clients, and that, these days, is hard to find.

Don Powell did a masterful job with my case. I had a terrible run of it for a while and he helped put all of that behind me. He helped me through every twist and turn and quite honestly allowed me to sleep better at night. His assistant is just top notch and I cannot say enough good things about her. I would highly recommend Mr. Powell and his firm to anyone that is seeking a reorganization of their finances. His demeanor and character are top notch. He also has such a great way of explaining some complex legal issue or matter in such a rudimentary way. And not to seem too hyperbolic here, but it reminds me of a quote from Einstein when he said "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." Don always had a way of explaining it simply. Which in turn always gave me confidence that he was a master of his craft.

We hired Don Powell to handle an stubborn foreclosure & bankruptcy case. He knows the law, presented the options, let us decide the direction. He then guided us through the processes, returned calls and e-mail. Explained the known outcome for each decision and if the decision might have a unknown result. His experience in the court process allowed us to be confident that all of the fillings were being done timely and correct. He is a honorable man of his word, does what he says he will do. Besides being the Attorney that you are glad to have working for you, he really is a very nice person. His staff was very supportive in the total experience.

Mr. Powell was not only very knowledgeable but also sincere. He made the process very understandable and was very easy to work with on the payment plans. Always returned my phone calls to answer all my questions. ( How many Lawyers do that?)

I hired Mr. Powell based on a referral from a friend. I needed an experienced attorney that could manage a difficult case involving tax issues. I was not disappointed. Mr. Powell handled my case without any issues. He was always there for any questions or concerns that I had. We went to see Mr. Powell about Bankruptcy. However it was very hard for us to think of going this route. My wages have been being reduced for about a year now which has put a Hardship on us. He wanted us to go over the finances with him, and then go home and go over the figures to see where we really stood. After, going over the finances again at home, I saw that I could work a very tight budget out, and that would be workable. So, we are going to pray that this works out, and if not, Mr. Powell. said come back and we will go from there! We really appreciate his knowledge, and understanding.

Don saved my company and its 40 employees through Chapter 11. The most complicated and time consuming of Bankruptcies, most Chapter 11 cases are never confirmed, he successfully completed the process, walked me through every step, and represented me in some very tense situations. Communication with Don was always easy and he made sure I was kept in the loop at all times, all the required filings were on time and without error, and even made sure that my stress levels were managed during what could have been a long a stressful process. The debt of gratitude that I owe Don could never be repaid.

Don was the second BK attorney that I hired. I fired the first because he only wanted to declare Chapter 11 and would not listen to me. Don listened and worked with me on a strategy to help avoid BK.
