Our family has used Lisa and her services for many years, in fact we had such a good experience that we followed her when she moved to her current practice. Recently, we needed her professional help revisiting the family Trust and Estate Plan following the death of my father. We worked together on trust amendments, property deeds, beneficiaries, EIN requests, family settlement agreement and much more. I had my taxes prepared at Montini Tax Advisory because they had a deal for seniors. I recently had been awarded SSI. The “CPA” who prepared them said I owed $2500. I paid that. She forgot a major issue so instead of owing $2500, I get a letter from IRS that something was not calculated. I took it back to Montini and they amended it. Told me I now owed $5000. I again get a letter from IRS that they recalculated my taxes and I now owed $8600. I called to Montini to be informed that the “CPA” that did my taxes was no longer with their firm. I would have to pay $250 per Hour to talk to their new CPA. I have fees and interest of almost $200 from April. When I was originally told I owed $2500 and paid it. After I called 3 times. I got a phone message from the owner Marc. He said that I had an income so I owe taxes. Sounded like he thought I was stupid. I do not appreciate his condescending attitude. I have worked all my life and I get the whole income and tax process. I have never made enough that I have ever owed IRS. Because SSI had to pay me back 4 years of benefits, I had to claim all 4 years as income for 2018. I have never made that much working in a year ever. I checked the Arizona Board of Accountancy and that “CPA” does not come up in their directory, so apparently she wasn’t a CPA at all. Unless you have money, you don’t matter to them. I worked all my life, ended up getting cancer and can’t work, now live on disability, so I don’t have a nest egg for them to advise me on, so I’m on my own. Including $200 of fees and interest because they messed my taxes up so badly.
