After almost 2 years of paying Steven, I am exactly where I was before all of this started. If anything, things have gotten better for her (my opposition), and SHE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A LAWYER defending her. He is not even capable of winning a case against no-one, imagine how things will go when he has to face a lawyer. My opposition had stated that she was willing to give me everything that I wanted, 7 months ago. Steven continued arguing with me about how I shouldn't even ask for anything, even though it was already offered, because she could have "changed her mind". All I was asking for was the property issue to be dropped and to have final decision making - things she was willing to do in the beginning. He spent all of his time challenging me to give into all of her demands and he spent zero time fighting for any of mine. He went form promising me everything to saying, "I'm not your guy". I wish I would have known that he was not my guy while he was promising me incredible things. I was paying my lawyer to work for her. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve just payed tens of thousands of dollars over nearly 2 years, for him to support her needs and dispute mine. This case nearly defaulted several times but, he charged me to file motions to keep it active. If it had defaulted, I would not be liable for anything. I was paying him to consistently extend a case against me! I paid him to "depose her" but, he brought her in and talked to me on the phone for an hour, then recommended re-setting it for another date, after she no showed on the first one. Soon, it was made clear that she wanted action immediately. Steven took this to be of the most importance. He demanded that we move quickly or risk losing everything. It took 4 months of panicking over the urgency, for him to take two separate vacations and do absolutely nothing. I became the one pushing for things to move forward, he began dragging his feet. It become more clear that he was only in this to continue charging me as long as he could. It was no longer subtle delays or him pretending to not understand my overly clear intentions. He became very upset and argumentative with me. I realized that he was working harder for her than he was for me. Spending excessive amounts of time convincing me why I should give her everything she wanted and why I can’t have anything. I asked him numerous times to, at least try, and he refused.

I used this attorney for a child custody situation, although it was a very tough case Steve was able to negotiate a plan that made sense to both of us. He didn’t try to take it advantage of me with billing and was always available to take my calls. I would recommend him to anybody going through this type of issue.

I hired Mr. Cole several years ago for a very complex and lengthy custody battle. He was very compassionate and aggressive with his defense work. I could contact Mr. Cole's office or him directly via email whenever needed to discuss my case which was very comforting. Mr. Cole was very generous in his time and effort to do the best job considering the very intense case. He almost took it on a personal level to make sure things were done right and in a timely manner. Thankfully I will never have to go through this again but if I did I would hire Steven Cole again for sure!

From the start he wanted me to settle for less than I was willing to. I have much more to day her on things that went wrong and things that I did that should had never been expected of me. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! He is NOT AGGRESSIVE and will not represent you in the way you want. If you just want cheap than do it. If you want a good attorney go else some where else. Not only did I lose, I lost big and these are your KIDS You can not afford to go to someone like him! Who has no empathy and really just NUMB to the process.

Mr. Cole was very professional and caring through this very tough custody battle between myself and my ex-wife. She tried to claim everything under the sun, like she had a book in front of her. Child Neglect. Child Abuse, Child Molestation, Spousal Rape, Domestic Violence, Etc. Once joint custody was granted to both parties, she would petition the court every six months for more support (worked for cash jobs). By the end, I had enlisted in the Army and Mr. Cole was able to get me sole custody with a visitation schedule and plan for my Ex to still see her son grow and under my care become a honor student with scholarship potential upon his graduation from high school. Mr. Cole stood fast when I was ready to call it quits, because it looked like I was doomed under the amount of false reports and statements made by my EX. He/We prevailed and I couldn't be happier.

I hired Steven N Cole as my divorce attorney. He was the perfect lawyer. Always on call to respond to my concerns and issues and there were many. ,Doing exactlly what needed to be done to bring my nightmare of a marriage to its closure. . Doesn't really go the extra mile for the client. Mostly just tries to go along with the opposing attorney. I had to do almost all the negotiations myself, he was of little help.

Steven Cole was very knowledgable and experience with my case and now have my child 50% of the time, reduced my child support and got spousal maintenance dropped. Also have a very strong, experience, and knowledgeable paralegal "Jo" and Attorney Kelly. The right combination for great results!!!

I'm extremely happy in the way Steve and his staff handled my custody case. He was very attentive to my needs and I can't thank him enough. Although it was a difficult process, I always felt as if the staff and him had my best interest in mind. Besides that his pricing was better than most that I was quoted by other lawyers, so good job on that one too.
