Dori was my lawyer for one year. In this 12 month span, we paid her over 1000 a month, sometimes included phone call charges to casually speak to her. I don't recall once where she emailed me first. I was the one touching base continuously and she seemed uninterested. If it was me paying I would of discontinued business with her month 3 but it was a family friend who was paying her services ( giving her the benefit of the doubt ) Once we ended up in the same exact spot we started in , we dropped the case and I ended up going to court and representing myself and doing what needed to be done and I have zero school in law. I am not one to down talk anyone but the fact of the matter is, she had no genuine interest in my life, my requests or needs, or my kids. You are better off going with a public defender than paying for services you can easily do yourself, and a better job considering it's your life. My advice would be for her to find a new line of work.

Carrie was very responsive and always was there. She filed everything on time and allowed me to review and edit anything first before filing. This was my 2nd go around with Carrie and this time she represented me like a rockstar in trial and I was awarded half my fees! She had to deal with a bunch of bs allegations from my ex so it was not easy!! Hopefully there’s not a 3rd but Carrie will be there if so!

Dori was great. She helped us get all of our things in order when we were on a tight deadline. She walked us through everything.

I highly recommend Dori Eden and team. They are extremely thorough, responsive, and you really feel like you have someone in your corner. I completely trust the advice and transparency the demonstrated while working with them. I not only think of them as my "attorney" or "legal team" but also a personal friend after meeting them the first time. Stop looking for someone else and reach out to this team.

I hired Dori several years ago going through the difficult process of filing for a divorce with two young children. Initially what I loved about Dori was her tenacity and no BS approach to traditional gender roles in raising children. From my perspective, that was a good thing being a father who genuinely wanted nothing out of the divorce but 50% of the time with my kids (Frankly, I would WANT 100%, but for my kids' sake 50% with each was ideal). At the end of the day, she advised me that I was essentially throwing away the farm by conceding 100% of the proceeds from a home sale and agreeing to settle for much more in child support than a judge would ever order. While likely true, that said, I got what I wanted out of my divorce, and that was time with my kids.
Fast forward several years and issues remain and/or resurface from the divorce. I was ill-advised coming out of the terms of the divorce decree, and this occurred many times--resulting in an arrearage in child support that absolutely blew my mind. All I tried doing from day one was the right thing for my kids. I now find myself in a situation where I was charged nearly $700 to send a simple letter to my ex-wife regarding First Right of Refusal and a couple of other issues. The MOST shocking part of this, is that the letter sent was essentially copy/pasted from an email I wrote that was added to legal letterhead. That seems absurd to charge that much to copy and paste.
Fast forward even a few months further and as I'm asking about different charges on my invoice (many nickel and dime items, many overexaggerated time commitments...), and the most appalling thing occurs. I send an email and call with no response on a Thursday or Friday. The weekend comes and I can't sleep because of the issues. Monday morning I get up around 2am because of the stress from the situation, and I make a large payment to Dori and send an email about a) the payment and b) the case in general. Again, no response. Then, I check the mail.... voila! Dori had filed a motion to withdraw as my attorney without any discussion, without any email, nada.
When I reached out saying "No wonder you've been MIA" I was given a ridiculously money-centric response, essentially saying "Give me your credit card info for automatic payments and I'll represent you." Very professional. Didn't address my concerns about items I was concerned with on the billing. Didn't address the case AT ALL, and had the audacity to ask for more money.
Possibly the worst part, or the most funny part, is that I then received an invoice a few weeks later that amounted to around $500 TO WITHDRAW AS MY ATTORNEY....
I have referred several good people dealing with divorces or custody cases to Dori because she did what I wanted in my divorce: I paid her a boatload of money to get 50% custody of my kids. The financial part didn't matter... I was screwed financially in the divorce BUT I got my kids. That's all that mattered. The recent issues, however, shed light on the fact that she is what most people fear of in attorneys... sharks after your money.

Attorney Eden has been my attorney for several years and I consider her a partner with my children's best interests as the primary goal in every context. She is kind, courteous, and professional. Not every outcome for a father in Arizona family law feels right or just. The commitment, honesty, respect, and expertise that Attorney Eden provides will create the infrastructure necessary to navigate the often difficult issues. I would recommend Attorney Eden to family and friends.

Carrie worked tirelessly on my severance case for my 3 year old son to keep him safe from his biological father. We won the case even after going to trial. It was such a long process but Carrie walked us through it perfectly. Will always come back to Carrie for family court help. My husband and I are forever indebted to her!

If your a guy, do not hire Carrie Cravatta. Carrie pulled off some pretty shady tactics, like running my retainer out right before a court date, then holding important documents and motions over my head until I paid. Also sent me emails minutes before a hearing outlining what she was going to bring up in court, then never did. I had to bring up the issues on my own. This attorney was a joke at best and I'm checking into a possible lawsuit. Read the previous reviews carefully. Yeah, kinda sounds like family and friends to me too.
