I was a Senior Revenue Officer for IRS for 33 years. So you could definitly say I know how the IRS runs and thinks and why. I am a nationally known author of 4 IRS books- see Amazon under Richard M. Schickel. I am now in private practice as an IRS licensed Enrolled Agent. In the course of doing case work for my clients, I uncovered IRS officers acting with malice to taxpayers who were just trying to follow the tax laws. I had to file two professional complaints against two officers and that is when the IRS came after me. They threatened to refer my case as a criminal referral to the U.S. Justice Department. They were planning to cancel my license and destroy my good name in the tax professional community. Jason Silver using his considerable knowledge and wisdom of the IRS put my case together (he is an eloquent writer) and the IRS just totally back off and went away. I cannot thank Mr. Silver enough for saving my name, my career and my ability to help people in distress with the IRS.
