I am a licensed attorney who does a variety of things, and while I am knowledgeable enough to represent myself in my divorce, I hired Rebecca Marquis. It was the best decision of my life. It reminded me that when you need legal help, choose a lawyer who focuses in one area, and who has a reputation for being the best. I was fortunate to have been referred to her by another attorney that used her in her divorce. I've been working with Rebecca for over a year now and I've been blown away by her skill, responsiveness, intellect, and temperament. First I will say that my case isn't typical and I doubt the process would be as dragged-out as much as mine has been because of the particulars in the case. She has an excellent feel and temperermant that goes a long way to getting both parties to an agreeable solution. In my opinion there are too many attorneys who look to fan the flames of their clients' emotions in what is almost always a powderkeg of hostility. Rebecca is the opposite; she will work for ways to avoid court unless the opposing counsel/party are being unreasonable. In that case she can be an absolute bulldog. In the courtroom she is poised but aggressive when need be. She's very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I really can not say enough. I met with and vetted a half dozen attorneys in the Valley, but I wish I'd saved the time. I've been 110% satisfied with my decision to have her in my corner.

I can't speak highly enough about Rebecca's office but of course, especially Rebecca herself. Rebecca was our warrior. Very honestly, every time we saw and spoke with her, we felt safe and protected. I imagine that sounds weird but it's so very true. We cannot thank her enough for fighting for us and ensuring that we got what was fair and sane. I wish that I had Rebecca with me the first time but we're positive that we'll be sticking with her for any future needs. We got absolutely everything we asked the Judge for in our case and I'm positive this has everything to do with how brutally honest and straightforward Rebecca was with us. It's easy to allow emotions to dictate what you want to bring before a Judge and Rebecca pulled NO PUNCHES with us. She was not afraid to tell us what we needed to let go of and how to stay focused on our goals. We had just heaps and heaps of things we wanted to bring before the Judge and Rebecca taught us how to get focused and trim everything down to exactly what we needed to ensure we could get what was right for our child. That said, she was more than happy to edit, re-dit, reword, add or subtract over and over until we were perfectly satisfied. She's an amazing listener, very well organized, and one of the sharpest people I've ever encountered. I just can't say enough about her. She is on her game. Not only is she answering her emails to us even on a Sunday night but we received our Judgement from her at something like 4 in the morning. We're almost convinced that Rebecca is a robot. ;) Their billing seems to be extremely reasonable and ethical. I haven't received my final bill however so far they don't seem to be charging me for every nanosecond spent thinking about my case. Overall, you are doing your family a great service by meeting Rebecca Marquis. You will not regret it it whatsoever.

Rebecca is wonderful, always attentive to my case and response time for emails and phone calls is beyond the call of any lawyer, she always kept me in the loop and didn't try to gouge me on my fees like most lawyers. she handels her self profesionaly and knows more than most lawyers I know, I only wish I had used her 8 years ago in my divorce to start with rather than waste my money on a crap lawyer that I had before. I would absoulutly recomend her to anyone , any time. She got me exactly whatI asked for and then some.

Rebecca, Now that we have completed the modification, it has allowed us to take a step back and reflect on the process. First and foremost, thank you. We cannot stop talking about you and how you genuinely made sure that our interest was best served. These modifications are a stressful process that in many ways does not accurately reflect a system of fairness. We could not be more pleased with your advice, approach and the way you fought for us. Throughout the process you made sure that we understood the potential outcome. Whether in our favor or not. You actually brought a sense of calm to us, having equipped us with information. We wanted to make sure that you knew we feel that we had an advantage by retaining Korbin Steiner and Marquis. We will encourage anyone we know that is dealing with family law issues to contact your firm first! Again, we can't thank you enough for your excellent work.

I first went to see rebecca on the advise of a friend ( who is a lawyer, but not family Law), who works in the same building as I do. I explained to Rebecca, my situation, how tight my finances were, and she agreed to take me on as a client. She said I could do this myself, and save me some money. But not knowing the legal system here, I asked if she could do the paper work for me, which she did.... I needed to get my child support modified, as one of my sons turned 18 last April, again Rebecca ask why i had taken so long to file the modification, I told her I didnt have the funds to do so.... To cut a long story short, we agreed a fee for her time and services, I paid the money, and Rebecca went to work. She filed all the paperwork found a process server in Texas, as my ex lives out of state, and we waited for our court date. That date came, and Rebecca was good enough to get my child support almost cut in half, from what I was paying. All I can say to anyone else who is looking for an excellent lawyer, who practises family law, then you should use Rebecca, she knows her stuff, I was kept well informed through the whole ordeal, she is friendly, well mannered, and an absolute wonder to work with. When my child support is due to end in 2014, I have already told Rebecca I want to use her for this too, So i need to start saving!.

I used Rebecca in my last child custody and child support case she was so knowledgeable. I felt so comfortable with her, she really listens to you and guides you in the right direction. I would use her again. She's great!!!!!

This attorney is Fantastic, Stepped up and accepted my case after having a bad exp with another one . She is professional and at the same time down to earth. She cares about children and knows the Family Law inside and out . Her responce time is incredible the best I have seen in any service in a long time. Rebecca was very helpful and successful in the modification of my parenting plan. She is very knowledgeable and unbiased...she will tell you like it is. She was very considerate and always available and quick to respond. While any child custody/parenting related case is stressful, Rebecca helped me feel more at ease about the whole drama of the situation. She is an excellent Lawyer and I would recommend her to anyone needing legal assistance; and I would definitely use her services again, if needed.

Rebecca by far is the best attorney I have ever come across. She handled my divorce & child custody case. She is extremely knowledgeable at what she does. She was very compassionate towards my children & my situation, very honest & never once, did Rebecca not take the time to answer any questions I had no matter how big or small they were.
