This review is for anyone considering an attorney to handle your estate planning. My grandmother hired Marc Pulsifer to prepare her will and trust. Upon her passing, we wanted information about next steps. His staff arranged a call with Marc for a week out, letting us know of the $450 consultation fee. The call lasted 30 minutes and we paid the agreed upon fee. Marc came on the call unprepared, seeming to know very little about the situation, drawing out the call. He began to read the trust out loud (as if for the first time?) Let's just say it was unproductive. Then he went into pitch mode, giving the reasons why we should hire their firm to represent the trust, to disperse the nominal assets and quoting roughly $10K. It was a frustrating experience. I think it could have been an email. Go with a firm that doesn't charge for an initial consultation. It just feels weird to pay someone who has done nothing to help you and who wants you to hire them.

The secretary Susie is definitely who should not be at the forefront of first interaction, because she is condescending, racist, and doesn't return calls!!

Marc and his staff have served my family for the last eight years. They cleaned up some language issues and updated the family trust with skill and efficiency in a timely manner. As issues have come up from time to time they have suggested creative solutions. They are responsive and express advice in a formal manner then reconcile that with practical realities and common sense.
