If you are an "activist" and you are in court because of your activism, and you hire an attorney with decades of experience in that court system because he knows how to play the game THEIR way and you do not, then maybe you should put your ego aside and LISTEN to your attorney and stop your antics, both in and out of court, that make it difficult for your attorney to achieve a positive outcome for you. Otherwise you should represent yourself. Also, because the police RESPECT a criminal defense attorney for his competence and professionalism does NOT mean that they LIKE him because he throws cases in their favor. It does NOT mean that that attorney is in cahoots with them or the DA or the courts to screw you. Lastly, if you are a criminal defense attorney, you may want to think twice before you agree to represent a sovereign citizen, even a closeted one.

Tom Higgins is an excellent criminal attorney. He is a leader in the field, has done a *ton* to help this community - particularly other lawyers! It's clear that some folks have chosen to try and tear down his reputation and there are several false reviewers on this page.

Possesses a poor understanding of the law they purport to practice.

I have known Tom for 10 years, and know him to be diligent and knowledgeable. He served as an arbitrator on one of my cases, and was entirely fair. You can’t go wrong with Tom!

Honest and friendly attorney.

I’m a fellow attorney and I’ve seen Tom in action. He is a fantastic attorney.

My wife, Geri Linehan, has worked over 30 years with Tom and always found him to be highly reputable and knowledgeable. He goes out of his way to serve his clients and is a gem to work with! I am a retired police detective and know the law enforcement community has great respect for Tom. These bad reviews are a hoax and should NOT be taken seriously. Shame on the people who wrote them!
