I have known Mr. Chorny for well over a decade now and his skills, compassion, and commitment to his clients is unrivaled. He is an excellent communicator which serves him well in many ways. It helps him explain complex legal issues to his clients to help them make effective choices; it helps him communicate strategically and effectively with the court and opposing attorneys; and, it allows him to communicate honestly and persuasively with juries. He is undeterred by a challenge. He is vigilant about improving his craft at every opportunity. His ethics are impeccable. His thinking is nuanced and thorough. I recommend Mr. Chorny without hesitation.

I can’t say anything but good things about Mr. Chorny and his firm. When I first hired him I had no hope and was completely lost. He made sure that I felt appreciated and that my problems actually mattered. He has a very solid structure as to how he breaks down everything. He never once made me feel inferior or “dumb” for asking any questions and actually encouraged me to do so at any time should I not understand what he was explaining or certain things going on with my case. I also never had any issues getting through to him or his associates through phone or email and was always responded to promptly. This man saved my life in more ways than one! I was a client that was looking at many years in prison for my crime. Joel really listened to what I had to say and because of that he was able to dig into my case fully. My final sentence was 3 years probation with no jail time! During our time working together he saw I was not doing well emotionally and I was very close to a jumping off point. He made sure he got me in contact with someone I could talk too. I contacted Joel via email to see if he could consult with me briefly on the phone regarding a legal question. He responded within a couple of hours and scheduled an appointment for the following day. He called promptly at our scheduled time and gave me professional and thorough advice and did not charge me for the 15 min. call. He was kind and did not rush the call and made sure I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision regarding the issue. It was not a complex issue, so I did not require further assistance beyond the consultation. However, if I ever did need further counsel, I would surely hire Joel.
