I faced UCMJ Art. 120 and 128 , sexual assault and DV charges at a general court martial. My life has turned upside down over the past 2 years. Hiring Lance Wood from Military Trial Defenders was the best decision I've ever made. I was acquitted of all charges, and thanks to Lance and his incredible team I have my life back in my own hands! Throughout the process Lance was always available for any questions and was very committed towards my case. Incredible experience and expertise when it comes to military law, especially sexual assault and domestic violence cases. No doubt one of the best attorneys in the United States, very reasonable on price, very trustworthy, 10/10 recommend!

I called out of the blue, needing immediate assistance. His receptionist took my information and within minutes he called me back. He was on the road and provided perfect guidance and solutions to my issue. Lance even offered to look over my MFR the next day, free of cost. He was absolutely amazing. I was in a very concerning situation, where I was literally all alone, my chain of command had failed me and although he wasn't physically by my side, he was the only person in my corner and I couldn't have appreciated it more.

If you are reading this chances are you are in a difficult situation. When I was facing an investigation and up against the one sided juggernaut that an Army investigation is I didn’t know where to turn. I was facing 30 years in prison and my 19 year career was on the line. After talking to a few different civilian attorneys I found Lance. He immediately sent me a text message and after learning what was going on he got out of bed to call me and discuss my situation. After discussing his approach I knew he was the one to help me. After hiring him he continued to amaze me by his legal knowledge and his skills to approach CID and the command. Lance was always responsive. Anytime I reached out to him he stopped whatever he was doing to answer my questions, make phone calls to protect my rights and anything else that came up. In the end the command decided not to prefer any charges because of Lances ability to present exculpatory evidence that proved my defense. Do yourself a favor and stop reading reviews and call Lance right away.

I was looking at facing two felony charges as an Officer in the Army. I thought my life and my family’s life was over. I found lance with military trial defenders on google and it was the best decision of my life. He was very upfront and reasonable on price, and assured the best possible outcome. I was facing up to 12 years of confinement and a federal conviction. Thanks to lance and his team I am now resigning with no conviction. I am now able to move on with my life and take care of my family. There is no better defense lawyer in military justice.

Lance Wood literally saved my life. I was falsely accused by an ex wife for sexual assault. This lead to a General Court Marshall. I was looking at four separate false allegations each with 30 years attached to them with 120 years total for something I didnt do. Lance was the most professional attorney I have ever had the privilege to work with. I will never forget his closing argument for as long as I live. It was something that needed to go down in the history books. It was the most concise dissection of how my ex wife and her family framed me I have ever heard. It was chronologically orded, exquisitely detailed, and perfectly framed for the jury to completely understand all the events that took place and how she methodically took steps to frame me. When Lance was talking everyone was on the edge of their seats. He was prepared for anything because he had prepared for everything. If I could give Military Trial Defenders more than five stars I would. Lance is humble but when he walks in the court room with the confidence of a lion the prosecution starts sweating. I'll never forget when the prosecution realized he was my attorney she look like she wanted to hide or leave the room. I would recommend Lance Wood to anyone who is facing serious false allegation charges. Military Trial Defenders work day and night to ensure you are taken care of. I implore you to seriously consider Lance Wood if you ever need help because of false allegations.

Upon my initial consultation with Mr.Murray, I found him to far exceed the high recommendation he came with from a very good friend of mine. I enlisted his services to help in getting my vehicle back from the AZ DPS. The real pieces of work that they are, they were trying to keep my vehicle for seizure with no merit whatsoever. It took a phone call and a very brief but oh so effective letter from Mr. Murray and, upon recognizing the error of their ways, promptly returned my vehicle. Mind you I had been trying, obviously with no luck at all. A million thank you's Mr. Murray. I would definitely recommend you to anyone who is considering you and your services.

My wife and I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Dombrowski for her the time, effort and dedication to our case involving my wife’s accident. Our settlement totally changed our future. Never having experienced something like this before, we were lost as to what to do following the accident. This type of experience, as we learned, create a feeling of fear, confusion, and helplessness as to what actions to take. We might not have taken any steps and would have moved on with our lives. Ms. Dombrowski’s knowledge and expertise was extremely helpful in making our decision and took the worry out of our daily lives. I would also like the thank the staff and a special recognition to Jessica for her hard work and keeping us in the loop when there was action to be taken by us. Extremely helpful. She made a special trip to our home to sign some paperwork as scheduling on my wife’s part made it impossible to make an office visit. Very helpful and in an era were customer service is dwindling, she stepped up. We were very appreciative. I wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Dombrowski to anyone going through an experience like ours.

Adam Weisman called me as soon as he received my request for a consultation. After I reviewed my issue and gave him all the information, he immediately went to work. He gave me my options which I chose to hire him to represent me. Her drafted a letter for my approval, forwarded it. The letter was quite specific and he reviewed the laws in respect to my case. I can happily say the case was closed without having to go to court or without any follow up. He did an awesome job and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs assistance in his area of expertise. Should any occasion occur in the future I would definitely contact him even if it would be for a referral to another type of attorney. Great job Adam!!!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tucson, Arizona?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
