I called out of the blue, needing immediate assistance. His receptionist took my information and within minutes he called me back. My grandson who is in the Navy was scheduled to have a separation hearing from the US Navy. He had received a off base DUI and other disciplinary items, two which were treated as Article 15. He had less than one year in. I hired Lance base on reviews seen on Avvo My grandson always wanted to be in the Navy and was possibly thinking of it as a career. Myself and his other grandfather had spent some time in the Navy were deeply concerned. A navy JAG was assigned to him, but I felt this would be a turning point in his life so legal representation had to be a priority. Because of Lance's time in the Air Force he was very familiar with the military rules and protocols. In worked excellent with the assigned JAG and they reached out to witnesses to speak on my grandsons behalf. The day prior to the hearing he spent hours preparing myself (witness) and my grandson. The hearing was a six hour process. Lance was well prepared with questions and statements which included a good closing statement. We required a favorable decision from two of the three board members. All three members gave the best decision they could. I believe Lance was instrumental in this result. He worked excellent with the Navy Board, the JAG and us. I would highly recommend him for any military judicial hearings.

Mr. Wood, or Captain Wood when I met him, is one of the best and brightest criminal defense attorneys I have ever met. At first glance, there appeared to be a mountain of evidence against me in my case, and I watched him as he took one of the prosecution's witnesses and turned him into a defense witness. I saw him root out a plant on the jury. He turned that mountain into a unanimous verdict against the government's case. If I was ever in trouble in his neck of the woods, I wouldn't hesitate to call him. He never backed down against impossible odds. He was there at the lowest point in my life, and he believed in me when no one else trusted me. I owe him my life, and I wish I could find a way to repay it. Hired Lance to represent our son in a case of possible dis-enrollment from the Air Force Academy. During his senior year, our son was involved in an Academy incident/investigation involving a number of cadets. The outcome involved the possibility of dis-enrollment from the Academy.
