I received a citation for excessive speeding while returning from a thanksgiving weekend trip with my wife. The citation was given to me in a county notorious for having very strict interpretation of traffic laws and I was facing a permanent misdemeanor conviction for excessive speeding which would have had ramifications in my personal and professional life.
