I was referred to David Karp's office by a neighbor and fellow veteran. I had recently moved to Arizona from another state and had not updated my estate plan since my wife passed away 8 years ago. David and his staff reviewed all my existing documents and presented me with several options for updating each one. David always presented the potential outcomes of the many scenarios in a neutral manner allowing me to make the decisions without any pressure from his office. He cares a lot about helping veterans, so I give him an extra half star for that! Overall, a very good experience in getting some important legal work taken care of. I recommend his services, especially to my fellow veterans.

For those in need of setting up a Supplemental Special Needs Trust, I would highly recommend David Karp’s law firm. Mr. Karp was kind and patient with me as I know so little about the law. He took the time to answer my questions and make me feel at ease with moving forward with hiring him. I can also say his entire team was friendly and very helpful. I felt welcomed and well cared for from the very first phone call. Also, they were quick to respond to me, whether by email or phone calls. So know that you can trust this team if you find you are in need of keeping your SSI and Medicaid in case you ever receive an inheritance.

My wife and i hired David Karp on the recommendation of a retired U.S. Attorney friend who had estate work done by David. We needed a living trust and met with David who explained the various trust versions and why he recommended a specific type. He said his fee was not the lowest for this type of work and it was higher than I expected, but based on our meeting and recommendation we hired him. Over several weeks and meetings he and his friendly staff prepared the trust along with updates to our existing estate documents, such as Will, Living Will and Powers of Attorney. He also recommended a local elder care company that provides assistance should we ever need it. Overall, an excellent experience and we will use his services again if needed.

Our original trust was 20 years old and needed to be updated, along with ancillary documents (Will, Healthcare POA, Living Will, etc.) We attended the presentations of two different attorneys, including David. We felt more comfortable with David and his presentation. He also had a couple of his team members there who we also talked to. We liked the more relaxed personality of David and his team. We liked that David's team included LGBT members (we are LGBT). In advance of our first meeting he let us know what information we should be pulling together for him. At our first meeting he laid out how the process would work, then walked through our information, and asked additional questions and for additional information. The process was very smooth. When our draft document was done we met with David and his team again to walk through the document, how it was organized and then to explain each section. We answered any additional questions they had, we asked our questions, we identified corrections/modifications, etc. Once documents were signed, Paula did considerable work researching how our different holdings would need to be transferred to our updated trust. We did find a few minor typos and missed information but everything was corrected very promptly. Overall, we were very comfortable with David and the team and satisfied with the documents they created for us.

I had to create a new Trust for my estate planning and called David Karp to to the job. I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. I was replacing an old trust that was complicated and outdated. With his guidance, patience and advice, I now have a less complicated, yet more thorough Trust in place that has left me with great peace of mind. He, along with every staff member that I had the pleasure of working with, was patient, clear, informative and kind. This was all very comforting, especially when discussing certain topics that are included in estate planning. His expertise was evident and his advice was extremely helpful. I also appreciated the fact that he was so intent on individualizing my plan according to MY needs and wishes. At difficult times, these types of tasks can be depressing and tedious. David and his staff made this very easy and pleasant. When I had a meeting panned with his office, I actually looked forward to it, as I knew from our first meeting, that I was in good, competent hands that would take care of a very important responsibility.

Dave and staff have been very professional, good communicators and very attentive to our needs in estate planning. Dave has a high level of relevant legal expertise and an unusual ability to explain and simplify very complex issues. He has earned our trust.

Everything we needed in a complete and timely manner. We had been a little intimidated by the perceived complexities of setting up a trust, but Dave and his staff made it quick and easy. Have recommended him to others, and will continue to do so.
