Mr. Sapier has provided me with excellent feedback and advice without even retaining him. He has shown extreme professionalism and compassion to a difficult matter concerning my child. I wholeheartadly recommend him for anyone looking for an attorney that puts his clients first. A+

I would give zero stars if I could but Zach spanier is an absolute moron, refuses to do any record research with clients, refuses to follow court orders, keeps harassing the other party about following court orders when he himself has done nothing. He is nothing but a judgmental, rude, a moron and possibly performing illegal activities due to his behavior with clients and other parties. I suggest he do better and grow up. Edit : defamatory and false? This is all my experience as a client. Zach spanier is nothing but a liar and will not admit when he has lost. I wouldn’t trust unless you’re a scumbag like himself

I recently had the pleasure of working with an outstanding Zachary Spanier who provided exceptional legal advice and support throughout the process of filing a protective order. From the very beginning, he was extremely helpful and took considerable time out of his day to ensure I understood every aspect of my case. His knowledge and expertise were evident at every step. He made me feel supported and confident during a stressful time, and his dedication to my case was unparalleled. The service I received was top-notch, and I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone in need of legal assistance. If you’re looking for an attorney who is not only highly skilled but also genuinely cares about his clients, he is undoubtedly the best fit for the job. Thank you for everything.

Divorce is not ideal, but sometimes it must be done. Unfortunately this was a divorce that lasted almost 3 years (we dealt with a very nasty and unresponsive lawyer for the Petitioner) but Zac was with us every step of the way. He's very knowledgeable, professional, extremely responsive and tells it like it is. Thanks, Zac.

David and his staff were extremely professional and competent. From our first initial meeting to the final product, his humor, friendly demeanor and expert knowledge were incredible. Each step of the process was explained in detail and his entire staff were responsive and extremely thorough. We are very grateful for his expertise in the development of our trust, my husband and I would highly recommend his firm.

This review is long overdue. When we first met with David Karp, we immediately knew that he was above and beyond any other estate planning attorneys. Not only has he set up a personalized estate plan for us, but he has helped us through some complicated matters regarding a sub trust from a different office. Before we found David Karp, we were very anxious and overwhelmed with planning needs. Now I have full confidence in our estate plan and am at ease knowing that we are truly being taken care of. We have had some unique matters that David has taken the time to research and explain to us as needed. Finding David Karp for our estate planning needs has been a blessing to our family!

I've had a wonderful experience with Stephen. The best part was I really didn't have to do much work! Literally I just needed all my documents and made sure I made my payments and show up for the first hearing and that's it! He's very easy going and does everything else as long as you do your part of the work. He communicates 100% and even his office later Melissa as well. Highly recommended 5 stars 10/10

Stephen has the expertise of AZ bankruptcy law and years of litigation that I was looking for. This was evident in the first conversation/consultation with him. My case was fairly involved and he clearly explained each step of the process, what I needed to do, and promptly addressed my concerns along the way. He thoroughly prepared the bankruptcy paperwork and provided proper documentation to the court. This resulted in a smooth process with the trustee and a favorable end result. Thank you Stephen for your help and patience during this difficult time in my life.

It's simple Scott is simply the best Criminal lawyer in Arizona you can get! He didnt only win my case, he saved my life . He was dedicated and had amazing communication throughout the whole case, not to mention hes just a truly nice guy. I have never been arrested or gone to jail before. I also have never been prosecuted before. So this whole process was the scariest thing i had ever been through. scott worked so hard for me and was always so patient the whole time. Everything i have ever asked him to do, look into, ask, type up, or follow up on he took care of immediately even though he still had so many other cases to deal with as well. The prosecutor was trying to put me in prison for 5-15 years on a first offense and scott fought it all the way with me for a year and a half and got me a NOT GUILTY verdict on 2 counts. If i could give scott a rating from 1 - 5 stars i give him 10!

I was appointed a public defender to represent me in criminal case in Bullhead City Arizona. Mr. Greene was very clear from the beginning of my case, what I was facing and the consequences if I was found guilty. I would take my papers from court and in a few days following court, I would get papers in the mail and an email making sure I received them. This was his practice and he never missed a beat. I wish him nothing but the best and pray he never lets this cruel world change him in any way. Thank you for all you have done for me. It was a pleasure knowing you and having you represent me.

  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tucson, Arizona?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
