After sustaining a terrifying personal injury, and dealing with the overwhelming experience of being in the hospital, a trusted friend referred us to the Mercaldo Law Firm. From the moment I engaged their services, it was evident that I was in the hands of consummate professionals who are not only highly skilled but also genuinely compassionate. Specifically, I really appreciated their communication. Carlo Mercaldo and his team kept me in the loop every step of the way. Any time I had questions or concerns, they were always quick to respond and made sure I felt comfortable with the process. Carlo's thorough approach and relentless pursuit of justice were key factors in achieving a favorable settlement that exceeded my expectations.

I recently had the privilege of being represented by an outstanding legal team comprised of John, Mark, and Halley, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for their exceptional service. No one else was willing to take on my case, and with only three months left before the deadline to file my lawsuit, I was beginning to lose hope. Fortunately, fate led me to John, Mark, and Halley, who not only accepted my case but worked tirelessly and diligently to ensure its success. Throughout the entire process, the team consistently kept me informed, providing updates even when progress seemed stagnant. Their dedication and commitment to my case went above and beyond any expectations and they exhibited a level of professionalism that was unparalleled. I never felt alone or in the dark, as they consistently checked in on me, demonstrating a level of empathy and understanding that truly set them apart. What stood out the most was their tactful handling of my case and the genuine sympathy they showed me during a challenging time. They were not just lawyers; they were my champions, guiding me through the legal intricacies with expertise and compassion. Their ability to alleviate my stress and concerns allowed me to navigate the process without unnecessary worry. To anyone facing a legal battle, I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional legal team. Instead of wasting your time with other lawyers, choose John, Mark, and Halley. Their collective expertise, genuine care, and commitment to their clients make them the ideal choice. Thank you, John, Mark, and Halley, for giving me hope when I needed it most. I am truly grateful for everything you have done for me.

I have worked with dozens of attorneys due to the nature of previous jobs and due to personal reasons, and no one compares to Amanda. She's compassionate, knowledgable, and responds to questions in a timely manner. She doesn't only answer your questions and provides guidance, but she also empathizes with you and supports you throughout the stress that comes with navigating the court system. Having her advocate for me in a criminal case was a true blessing.

I was physically assaulted, somehow I was arrested? I spent a day in jail and had to defend myself from a family member who had assaulted me and lied. I am soooo glad I called Charnesky and Dieglio. Dina answered my call. I think it was a Sunday, she stayed on the phone and was very caring and competent and I hired her. Dina was knowledgeable, honest and forward about the charges. I live out of state and Dina and James went to court for me. My trial date was a while back and Dina and James were there for me. They were excellent and knew how to handle this case. The Judge ended up granting "acquitted-not guilty" -which is rare. I trusted them and I am so Thankful for them. I would not hesitate to hire them or recommend them!

Dina is an amazing lawyer. She knows the law and is so helpful. She walked me through the whole process and was there for me every step of the way. The best decision I've ever made was to hire Dina Dieglio. I cannot begin to think of where I might have ended up without her.

In my experience, this attorney is a gem. Mrs Molnar is knowledgeable and determined, and she is so dedicated. without her, I would be up for deportation but she was so Vigilant and thorough that without her my situations would not have gotten resolved, and I would have a lot of problems. However, thanks to her, I can move on with my life and focus on being a better person. I highly recommend anyone with any legal problems to hire her she will fight for you, and she will make sure that you get the best outcome. There should be no other choice. Choosing her would be lucky for the client, and it would certainly guarantee the best outcome.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tucson, Arizona?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
