Mauria Kemper was a poor choice from day 1. My husband took a rather large pay cut at work, so we wanted to re-modify child support. We made phone appointments where we didn’t receive a phone call. There was poor communication between Mauria and the receptionist/assistant, because one appointment was actually completely forgotten about. We provided the required information about income and waited, and when we heard nothing, we had to call again. Our emails were ignored. Our questions weren’t answered. We paid $500 to be in the same position as when we started.

This woman lied to the courts several times stating she didn't have documents that she requested. i personally handed them too her twice, a lawyer gave them to her, and once was emailed. I won't stop until she is never allowed to work as attorney again.

Sat on my case for three years. Ran up legal bill, but did nothing. Allowed my case to be dropped and have to be re-filed twice. Then moved on to another law firm. Would give zero stars if that were an option.

Mauria was very efficient and effective in handling our legal guardianship case, and her knowledge and expertise are apparent. As an added bonus, she was extremely kind and professional, putting us at ease. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to hire a family law attorney!

Wilkinson’s Law Firm, specifically Mauria Kemper, went above and beyond in helping me with my legal needs. Mauria was always prompt and professional and helped me every step of the way through a difficult divorce. She was amazing at presenting me with all of my options and helping me to make an informed decision about what was best for myself and my children. Her experience in the field was invaluable. I would recommend her to anyone needing legal consultation or help.

I am a huge advocate of reviews and I did my research before hiring Mauria. I called and spoke to her on the phone and she assured me she would fight for what is right. I explained to her that neither party nor the child involved in the case lives in Arkansas and therefore we just needed to her to ask for a change in venue due to the corimcstances and have the case moved to Michigan. She told me she could not do that as to it was reopened in Arkansas. Now come to talking to several other attorneys after the fact that she indeed only needed to do that and we wouldn't be in the situation we are now. There was limited contact in the first several months and then we had told her in the beginning of February that we wanted her to fight for custody. My husband and myself both emailed her the same day February 12th with the visitation agreement we wanted to go after. Now fast forward 7 weeks and she's agreeing to an order behind our backs not consulting us in the least. Her only excuse was that it was the law and that was that. We paid her over $2,000 to do pretty much nothing. We would of been better off having it default and we could of questioned jurisdiction then. She never even raised the issue of visitation and told us that she didnt have time for them to prepare a response in 30 days.... we told her in the beginning of February and the court date was March 26th. Afterwards she told us to do whatever we can to have it moved. I have already filed a complaint with the Code of ethics committee. She didn't consult or tell my husband what was in this agreement that she went ahead and signed. Completely unethical. She comes off knowledgeable but is not willing to fight.

Mauria Kemper represented me at a very heated child custody hearing. She advocated for my son and myself aggressively. She knew everyone at the courthouse. The opposing party got absolutely nothing they were asking for. Meanwhile I received additional visitation. She contacted me several times before the hearing to discuss the case. I have retained 6 other lawyers prior to Ms. Kemper in this custody case and for the first time I feel well represented by a diligent well seasoned veteran attorney. Bottom line is we showed up and won.

After interviewing several attorneys in the area, I chose Mrs. Kemper.
I filed a motion to move across the country and it was the smoothest custody issue we have had thus far.
Once the ncp was served and we came up with a parenting plan, she had the agreement draftes, signed by the judge and sent back to me within two hours. The entire process took a week.
Her fee is very affordable.
She's empathetic to situations and very easy to get along with and talk to. I will be using Mrs. Kemper in the future if I need another attorney in her jurisdiction.

Mauria handled my custody case in 2008 and 2009. While we didn't have quite enough evidence to get my kids out of the situation they were in the fist time around, she knew we weren't going to give up, and neither did she. We kept fighting and gained custody of the kids in 2009. We recently hired Mauria again to handle our adoption case. Where else would I go? Mauria has always showed genuine care and concern for our case and our family. I would hire her again if I was ever in the need of legal assistance, and would recommend her to anyone.

Mrs. Kemper did an amazing job on our custody case. Even though she changed firms in the middle of my case, she did not miss a step in my representation. At no point did I feel that she gave less than 100 percent fighting for what was best for my children. She was honest the entire half a year it took to get resolution even when she knew I may not like her answer. I hope to not need legal representation in the future, but if I do, she will be my first call.

I hired Ms. Kemper to handle my divorce. During my initial conversation with her she answered all my questions and put me at ease about what was going to take place. Once I chose to move forward with the divorce she was fast to get things filed and completely fast. She was quick to respond if I had questions or needed advice. In a time that was hard for me and my family she was amazing at helping get us through it a quick and painlessly as possible!
