Cons
1
Lack of responsiveness and communication issues, with clients unable to reach the attorneys

2
Failure to follow through on promises and commitments, leading to unsatisfactory outcomes
“Trey made the whole process a breeze, would highly recommend." (in contrast with) "Trey took my case over 5 years ago..We signed a paper TOGETHER that he would take the case....I did everything i was told to do...Months would go by without a word from him..Met with him last year and was told the case would now go in front of a judge to be decided..Couple months ago i get a letter telling me that after further review he couldnt take my case....UM YOU ALREADY TOOK IT OVER 5 YEARS AGO!!!!! Several calls to the office with no one being available ......Never a call back explaining why he just quit......DO NOT USE THIS JOKE OF A LAWYER !!!!”

Lack of Commnication except by email which he intentionally misunderstands to stimulate more time to read more emails to increase billing time for reading emails. Typical narcissistic tactics to manipulate his client to get what he wants. Doubled his fee when the opportunity presented itself. I'm filing a lawsuit on him tomorrow time permitting. For refusing to obtain evidence on corrupt deputy. Wanted to ignore the evidence to protect his brethren in the Arkansas State corporation. They protect their own above their clients constitutional rights.

If you're in need of a legal services, you MUST give Brent a call first. He will be honest with you and whatever situation you're dealing with. It was a privilege to witness his flawless, almost movie-like, performance in court, where my opposition never stood a chance. He never promised me the best outcome, but delivered just that. His preparation is second to none and his execution was even more impressive. More importantly, Brent genuinely cared for my family and I. This was evident both in the compassion he showed in our first meeting and the ferocious defense of me in court. I will forever appreciate Brent for what he did for me. Do yourself a favor, call Brent Hall and only Brent Hall if you need a lawyer.

Brent is worth every penny he charges. A family member received a DWI and we had no idea how to proceed. My extensive online research advised to hire an attorney however when asking around everyone said not to as you are wasting your money. Brent came recommended to us by another lawyer and was the best advice we've received in a long time! He reviewed all the paperwork/videos and was VERY well prepared for court date. Good job Brent on our family member being found NOT guilty on a DWI charge.

Mr Hall helped with my son'DWI case. The reason we hired him is because he took the time to really talk with us and get all our details. He had expirence in all roles, so he knew exactly what to look for, and he charges one fee that gets you through the whole process. We had to postpone our case for personal reasons, no problem it was taken care of just like that. Mr Hall gathered all evidence in our case. He got all recordings from police and jail for us to review. When we had our pre court meeting, he gave us a package with all documents about our case. Mr Hall was well prepared for our meeting and had found the officer did not have probable cause to stop my son and that made all evidence not useable in court. We went to court and he presented our case and my son was found not guilty. We paid no fines and his record is clear. Mr. Hall was a blessing yo our family and I can't think him enough. I highly recommend him to meet your legal needs

Dianna Ladd is the best attorney I could have prayed for. I was in a car crash and broke my back. I am unable to work and needed go on disability. I went to the social security office and letter after letter I was basically told I would have to wait a year to collect on my social security. I went to her after three months and she was able to get me payments and back pay within two months. I would have had to gone bankrupt if it weren't for her. She answered every call and treated me with me like she really cared. I would recommend her to anyone needing to get on social security. She was awesome and I love her like a daughter, not because of my case but because she is genuine.

Standing ovation for Mr. Frank Cardoza! I was appointed to be the executor of my uncle’s estate. Due to family dynamics, this was a disaster waiting to happen from day one. Frank confidently stepped up and helped my uncle form a Trust and made all of our my lives so much easier after he passed away. Everything was very specific. I will be eternally grateful to Mr. Cardoza for his expertise and helpfulness.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Fort Smith, Arkansas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
