Pros
1
Knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate attorneys who prioritize their clients' interests
“Clint and Jennifer are very knowledgeable, very experienced and, equally as important, very compassionate. In conversation, they leave you with no doubt that their clients' interests are their priority and their long hours and hard work reflect that time and time again!”
2
Effective and successful representation in court
“Clint's commanding presence and common sense logic cleared the smoke and bs from my case very quickly. (Something the other side had worked diligently for over a year to create)”
3
Excellent communication and keeping clients informed throughout the process
“He explained what I could expect and gave me best and worst case scenarios. Clinton answered every question honestly and completely.”
4
Highly recommended by satisfied clients
“I would highly recommend this firm for your legal needs. They are very professional and will work for your best interest.”
5
Caring and understanding approach towards clients
“When you walk in their office you immediately feel like you are in good hands. They are very compassionate and they listen to you, and they are HONEST and they know the law.”
Cons
1
Concerns about billing practices and lack of transparency
“He could not get my case solved, but he kept charging me for six months. After I realized his true face, I fired him. Surprisingly he posted lien on me even after I fired him.”
2
Lack of responsiveness and poor communication with clients
“We would go months without getting updates on our case. The other parties attorney emailed Clint a response and we did not get the response until a month later. My husband would go 4 months without seeing his daughter because we could not get ahold of Clint.”
3
Potential conflicts of interest and perceived bias towards other clients
“My ex-wife and I decided to divorce so he took on my wife as a client even though I was already a client of his. This was a huge conflict of interest and very unprofessional on his part.”

Mr. Murad is an excellent attorney and continuously communicated with me during my H1B visa process, which was approved without issues. He prepared the case with great attention to detail and kept us informed in every step of the way as he obtained updates. Bailey, his paralegal, is very kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Mr. Murad as an attorney and will be using his services in the future.

How can you say you are an immigrant law firm and the lawyer and the people work there do not speak Spanish for one thing. Just trying to collect money just to push some papers around.

I think that Nate has closed his practice to pursue a political career, but I still wanted to post this review. He handled my divorce and custody fight in a professional manner, and was a giant in the courtroom. I, a single dad, won custody of my son. I think it was Nate's courtroom prowess that was the deciding factor.

My husband and I retained Milton to represent my husband for a criminal immigration matter, and not a minute too soon. My husband was arrested and charged with a crime that potentially could have destroyed his life. At first we retained a local attorney and we were led to the slaughter by this unprepared and under qualified "professional". He was not qualified to deal with such a complex and crucial issue, although according to him, he was a superstar. In the eleventh hour we retained Milton, and kept him engaged after conviction to represent my husband in the appeals process. Milton seemed to have a better understanding of all the facts at our initial meeting than the first attorney had the entire time he had represented my husband, almost a full year at this point. I wish we had retained Milton at the very first sign of trouble, the outcome would have been vastly different. Milton is very responsive, he returns calls, he answers his own phone and he knows the law. He isn't hired to be his client's best friend and he makes no bones about it, but his demeanor is such that even when he delivers horrible news you know he is solid in your camp, not playing both sides of the isle, or rolling the dice with your life. Milton is well respected in the field and he very deserving of this respect. He spent countless hours preparing for our “hopeless” case and it paid off in the appeals process. Looking back on a horrible experience and learning from 20/20 hindsight, I believe retaining Milton first would have been the best form of defense. If we had to do it all over again, Milton would have been the only attorney we needed to know and the appeal wouldn’t have been necessary. An attorney firmly in your camp from the beginning, who is aware of his strengths and is confident in the delivery of your Defense is 99% of the battle. I recommend Milton with confidence for representation with your immigration or criminal legal matters, if he isn’t the right attorney he will not try to convince you that he is, and he will be honest and upfront with you sooner rather than later, or worse, the morning of the plea deal deadline on the eve of trial.

Hiring the right lawyer is crucial for the success of your case. Here are some important questions to ask during your initial consultation:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Little Rock, Arkansas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
