Lion Legal Services (Victoria Leigh) assisted me with a prenup agreement. My experience is based on one 30 minute phone meeting with Victoria and email communication with Lizzy. I appreciated Victoria's practical advice and clear explanation of each section of the agreement. We got it taken care of in a timely manner - between the meeting with Victoria, signing the document and it being returned to my fiancé's lawyer, all was completed in a week. Lizzy was great to work with on finalizing the document. I did think it was a little strange that all communication had to be kept to an email, except during the scheduled meeting with Victoria, but I guess that is to ensure that all communication is documented. I was charged a flat rate of $500.

I do not recommend Lion Legal. Victoria asked for a giant amount of money on retainer, but told me she was saving me money by not taking the time to communicate with me. When I finally set up a meeting with her, she told me she hadn’t even read my order of protection but still charged me $$ for preparing for our meeting. She didn’t ask for background, and I could barely interject the details of my case. I found her to be rude and condescending. I told her this, and she blamed it on being in court all day the previous day. At one point she asked me, “Are you done yet?” And in the next breath she said, “The law doesn’t care about your emotions.” I definitely understand that, but that doesn’t mean my lawyer shouldn’t at least pretend to - especially if you’re in family law. I was flabbergasted. I’m glad that I have our whole meeting on voice memo, or I wouldn’t have believed it myself. I fired her on the spot, and she still kept a ton of my money. She created one document for me and sent emails. I’ve talked to others with similar experiences. I had a traumatic encounter that required legal advice while I was already on retainer with them. The encounter happened at 7am, and I called at 8:00am on a Friday to see what I should do because I was so scared. They told me I could speak to someone on the phone in three days or someone in person in five days. I ended up getting an order of protection because I was so scared, and I didn’t know what else to do - even though I had a lawyer on retainer... then she expressed frustration towards me for getting an order of protection and made me pay thousands more dollars to incorporate that into our case. They claim to have a team of people working for you, but I couldn’t get anyone to talk to me about what my rights might be. I couldn’t get legal advice in a timely manner. It was a giant waste of money and energy. I do not recommend Lion Legal.

This law firm has a written AGO attorney general complaint. Run fast away from this firm.They made broken promises and took my money. This is considered legal malpractice, one who makes oral or written agreements and did not complete the job. I am out of state and they misrepresented themselves. Talked down to me and became very unset with me for following up after paying my money. I had to hire a different attorney. They attempted to set me up and dropped my contempt of charges litigation. I am a person that is on disability. They want you to listen to them but do not listen to their clients. Something is wrong with the firm!!!!

Poor company I will never speak to them again

Absolutely fantastic experience! Rebecca got me through my divorce in the matter of a month. She was consistently working on my file the few days before holidays and right after the holidays everything was completed. Everything i asked for she exceeded my expectations and i couldn’t have pick a better person or service to have gone through this with!!
