If you're here because you're looking for a lawyer, stop now, press the back button on your browser, and find another attorney in the northwest Arkansas area. Heck, you'd be just as well off with a public defender. At no point did I feel like my case, for which I paid $900, was a priority at Norwood & Norwood. They accepted the police's side of the story as gospel and were uninterested in hearing what I had to say in defense of myself. I scheduled an appointment for a sit-down meeting to talk about the case. I arrived at the scheduled time and watched as 5 or 6 other clients went in ahead of me. I ended up waiting ~2 hours only to go in and be told to take a plea. I was never asked for my account of the ordeal. They try to sell you on the fact that they'll get your case dismissed, but the reality is you might get one or two minor charges dropped and that's it. It's worth noting that I NEVER met or spoke with Doug Norwood himself. Apparently my case was not important enough and was instead pawned off to other, less qualified attorneys within the firm. Avoid at all costs.
