I am very thankful to Beth for assisting me with my Ltd case. Having a terminal illness is never an easy thing to deal with. But the compassion received from Beth and her team was just amazing. I feel very blessed to have worked with Beth and she was able to get my benefits approved.

I was referred to Kantor & Kantor by the National MS Society. I was on LTD and life insurance premium waiver for 17 years with no problem but then the insurance company decided to question my disability. I contacted Ms. Davis after my premium waiver had been cancelled and the insurance company was going after my LTD income benefits. Ms. Davis is not only incredibly knowledgeable but was also so comforting and patient. I was beyond stressed at the thought of losing my LTD insurance and she patiently and reassuringly helped me through the arduous process. She won my case on appeal which to me meant she did such a good job preparing the facts we were able to avoid court and I'm beyond grateful. A final note, it was very nice to work with someone who knew as much about MS as I do.

I’m a lawyer. So when I became ill and needed an attorney, I researched every disability firm in Southern California. At the top of my list was Kantor & Kantor. The day I met Glenn Kantor, he had just undergone painful dental surgery and had only returned to the office to pick up a few files before heading home. Nevertheless, Glenn agreed to stay and speak to me about my situation. The meeting lasted a couple of hours. Halfway through, I had already decided to hire his firm. So, for the rest of the conversation, I felt like I was talking to a concerned friend. If you are seriously ill, you know how good it feels to speak to someone who both understands and cares what you are going through. After retaining his services, Glenn introduced me to a younger lawyer at his firm, Beth Davis. When I met with Beth, I realized she had already read and understood the medical literature on my illness, which was no small task, given that I have a rare and difficult to understand condition. After the meeting, Beth requested my medical records—again, not an easy task, given the number of physicians I had seen—and then planned a course of action. When all the information was gathered, we submitted the claim to my insurance company, supported by numerous doctor letters and the latest medical research. When the insurance company sent one of its investigators to interview me, Beth was at my side. Soon thereafter, I was awarded full benefits. Of course there were a few bumps along the way—doctors don’t always keep the best notes and insurance companies are apt to misinterpret them—but Beth resolved every problem admirably, making sure that, in the end, I received everything I was entitled to under my policy. And she managed to do so without irritating or upsetting my insurance company. At a time when I was not physically capable of handling stress, I found working with Kantor & Kantor a complete pleasure. They are, no doubt, the best disability law firm in Southern California.

My life changed a couple of years ago after having a surgery. As a result I suffered from extensive nerve damage. I am in chronic pain that elevated to from an 8 to 10 daily on a pain scale from 1 to 10. Before the surgery I lived an active and fulfilling personal life. I thrived in my professional life. My passions and purpose were now a distant memory. I could no longer sit, stand, sleep, cook or any other basic functions without excruciating pain. In the last year I suffered many lost professionally but personally was the greatest impact. I lost my home, income, and a career that I loved. The ability to support my daughter at her recitals, college tours and awards ceremony due to my illness was NO longer an option. That was the most painful of all of this. I didn’t know where to turn but I knew I had to fight but how because all of my strength presently was literally trying to exist emotionally and physically in excruciating pain every day. Imagine feeling like a cigarette was burning you repeatedly in the most sensitive spot on a woman (pelvic area) pain my strength was very low. Imagine a many needles stabbing you consistently when you wake up and go to sleep….With that said, energy to fight the denial of an appeal for long term disability felt impossible but then came Beth Perez, attorney at Kantor and Kantor! I goggled disability attorneys and read the reviews of several but Kantor and Kantor stood out and immediately I felt they were qualified and could be the strength and execute the knowledge that I didn’t have to fight the battle of my appeal being denied by my current insurance. After speaking to Beth she restored something I lost which was HOPE. They didn’t promise me anything they couldn't deliver but they fulfilled everything they promised such as strong follow up, the best strategy, represented me in an authentic light, and guide me through this painful and stressful journey. Beth laid everything out for me regarding next steps, actions to be taken, measurable goals, and also provided me with amazing referrals that assisted me in my journey to be healthy. This was huge for me because I was so sensitive at the time and often very emotional during most phone conversations. Knowing she actually cared about me and wanted to see me in less pain made me trust her more. The challenge was I had many healthcare professionals and motivating them to send me the information that was needed to support my case was a challenge. When you are in chronic pain the smallest task is a MOUNTAIN and it seems impossible to attempt to climb. However Beth motivation and determination allowed me to push myself to complete the task. Once I reviewed the appeal to be sent to the appeal board, tears and integrity were emotions that filled my heart. I felt that someone actually listened and presented the information in a way that I never could. I felt I had a great chance to win. In addition there was a backup plan if it were denied. After a long journey of not being able to pay medical bills, exhausting monies that were supposed to be used for my daughter’s college education and feeling as though financially I was pass the end, “THE EMAIL” came that I had been waiting for...The email basically said GREAT NEWS and I knew what that meant. I was shaking, crying and in so much gratitude. We had won the appeal! I could now pay my bills, continue to get the medical attention needed and pay my basic necessities. I realize I have a very long journey ahead but having my condition acknowledged and to alleviate some of the stress of the medical hardship made my fear lessen! Thank you Kantor and Kantor and most af all THANK YOU BETH!
