I had Eric represent me on a custody/child support and DV case, he was amazing and destroyed the other lawyer. He was on the top of his game and even at one point schooled the other lawyer in the proper processes. I lost count of how many objections he made that were sustained. It was fun to watch! I had the pleasure to meet another of his clients in passing and she was just glowing about his performance and knowledge. I also witnessed a lady without representation get confused about the judges judgment while we were waiting in court, Eric took the time to explain the results of a case to a lady as a kind gesture. This goes to show his caring and honest nature. He will also tell you the hard truth if the outcome is not in your favor. I am 100% happy with the outcome I had with Eric and I will definitely seek him out with any future needs. If you want someone with a winning attitude and someone willing to be a bulldog in the courtroom Eric is your man! Thanks again for everything!

Eric and Michelle are amazing! We can probably all agree that no one wants to pay for an attorney, but after having tried to handle our custody issues ourselves, we knew we needed help. I am so glad we called them! Michelle and Eric are no nonsense and get right down to business. They have been prompt and attentive to all our needs/questions, pricing is fair, and we went from having roughly 12% custody to now having 100%. (remember every situation is different and we are very lucky, we would have been happy with 50%) In conclusion, they have been worth EVERY PENNY!!! Strongly recommend!

I had a great experience working with Eric and Michelle through a long, drawn-out divorce. Their experience and tact made a difficult process much easier, and lines of communication were always open, easy and honest. I definitely recommend retaining them for family court if the need should arise.

I gave 1 star for communication with this law group. Never have I talked to them one time just emails and statements being taken out of the retaining fee. They're very good at what they do but can be more informational at the same time.

I have been trying for months to make contact with Ted and his staff. They have not returned my calls or any messages I have left. I feel in order to be a good attorney, it means you must be dependable.

Horrible attorney! He barely said a word defending me in my custody case. I had to tell him to say something to the judge before i lose custody because he was jst sitting there like he didn't care. I will always regret hiring Eric. If i could post the transcripts on here i would because the public should know what to expect from him in court. Hes overpriced too. The dad became the primary parent and i had visitation. My kids never adjusted to living with me full-time to only visiting me every other weekend and after school on Tuesdays. This situation truly hurt my children to the point of depression.

Each adoption is different and has different risks involved. During our second adoption we used Ted Youmans and the Family Building team as our counsel to navigate through a long and difficult contested adoption. From our experience Ted is at the forefront of helping to define adoption law in cases such as ours. In addition to the legal counsel for us, Ted gave us emotional support and very insightful guidance toward loving all involved. We learned so much from Ted through our journey and we could not imagine not having his broad adoption experience and his encouragement and his wisdom along the way. Also, Ted approached our case in a concise way that considered minimal time and minimal expenses for us. Expenses were clear and time billed was generous from what we expected. Shannon Franck did a ton of the work as well and was a regular support to Ted through the process. We appreciated her willingness to answer our nervous questions and her responsiveness throughout the process. We would highly recommend anyone to use Ted and the Family Building firm for adoption whether you are an adoptive family or looking to place your child for adoption!
