I hired Mr. Johannessen to represent me in a custody issue I was having with my ex-wife who had made some very serious yet false accusations against me. When I went to Mark I was terrified as I had never been in a situation like this before. Mark used his intelligence to work through the process of proving these accusations to be false, showing the court that my ex was being dishonest and acting out of spite and not acting in the best interest of the child. Mark was respectful through it all and always took the high road. He did his best to negotiate with my ex and her attorney and we were able to settle out of court due to his due diligence in the matter. This ended up saving me a lot of money as going to trial is a very expensive process. Mr. Johannessen also used his wisdom gained through his years of experience as a family law attorney to properly set expectations for me by informing me how the family law court system works, etc. I was able to go into court with confidence knowing how things would most likely turn out. Mark never over-promised and I was always pleased at the outcome due to this. I would recommend Mr. Johannessen to anyone who is in need of a good family law attorney. He understands how the system works and will do what it takes to get you through it all without breaking your bank along the way. Mark was recommended to me. I was having a terrible time getting custody of my grandson whose mother (my daughter) has been in and out of drug rehab. She was so convincing with the judge but, as much as I love my daughter, I knew it would be a disaster if she gained custody. It took Mark a while to finally bring it to conclusion because each time we would go to court, my daughter, who is an articulate person, would make herself presentable. During that time I was a nervous wreck and was very confused about the inner workings of the law. Mark was patient and clear and a very strong advocate for me. In another few years, if we must address this again, I hope that Mark will be available. My grandson is happy, my daughter is getting treatment again. I expected to have to pay to have myself represented, and after asking my circle of friends and acquaintances, I believe that Mark's fees were more than fair.

I felt he had no backbone and backed down to the female attorney he was up against. He charges a large fee without providing much help. I was misinformed as to what the papers said that I was signing. I did not feel well represented at all, and now years later I'm finding more and more item that were only done part way in our final paperwork.
